Rain-X / Feynlab Polish On Rear Camera Lens?

I've noticed the rear camera lens can get hazy with retained water sheeting from time to time.

Maybe polish the lens with Rain-X or Feynlab?

Good idea?

Rain-X does nothing. Glaco was recommended somewhere, also doesn't do anything (and is a bit weird, it's always 'wet', so if you decide to clean your camera, the product is gone too. Not tried the product mentioned above, curious if it's any better. The camera lens is not glass, so that's normally the issue for the hydrophobic coatings.

Right, they're a form of polycarbonate. Not unusual for lens used for this purpose, but since they're not inherently hydrophobic, and normal treatments don't work well, its why many manufacturers have a built-in cleaning system for critical camera locations (which is true for the front camera, of course, on the CT).

using Rain X is like using plain water. I tried on my windshields and Wasted the money
