wow, I guess I am lucky. I have only noticed two people flip me the bird and I just laugh. Why would I care about what ANYONE thinks of what I spend my money on? I don't, not even a little. And if someone swerves toward me, I have cameras all over the outside of the truck and just installed one inside and those videos will go to the proper people.
I m slightly used to people hating my trucks...I have a 2017 Honda Ridgeline.

Planning for “gestures”, I tinted my side windows at 5% within hours of delivery. Haven’t noticed any negative reactions until a few weeks ago, when this car pulled up ahead of me so the passenger (child) could look back and gift me a thumbs down. Now my windshield is tinted.

I may have been cut off a few times. The second they start to move into my lane, I let off accelerator, when safe, which I feel denies them the satisfaction of engagement.

I got this truck because it's awesome and is a good fit for my family's needs. The fact that it triggers overly political lemmings is a happy bonus.

I live in the Seattle/Bellevue area, home of exactly the kind of people that get triggered. So far I've gotten mostly positive reactions, very mild negativity. Unlike the internet, most people are polite in person.

I don’t get the political angle. Right wingers that think EV’s are a conspiracy? Left wingers that hate Musk? Both or neither? Makes no sense, not that being triggered ever does. AH’s are AH’s regardless of party.

This was going on in Florida until a month or so ago but now it seems like the losers have moved on since they have seen plenty of Cybertrucks now. I was swerved into a few times by pick up trucks, cut off, and flipped off. It’s just kind of sad and pathetic that grown adults act like that because of a vehicle.

Pathetic is perfect way to put it. I can't understand the personal motivation to drive up to someone, slow them down to give them a middle finger and thumbs down, so they are personally affected in a negative way over my opinion...of a truck.

This didn't really bother me until my wife had to drive me home after surgery last week and someone made a point to pull right up next to us and flick her off. That pissed me off.

The positive note, the reactions for me are mainly 90% positive, 9% curious, 1% pricks.

So crazy this post is happening right now. Last night my son told me he would wouldn’t ride in the cybertruck with me because of all that negative attention. We got flipped off by a motorcycle rider and I guess it blew his mind. It’s very interesting that this is happening and for me, it would be a shame to back down so I’m gonna drive my cybertruck loud and proud hopefully with a big fart coming from the exterior speakers. I believe the reaction some people give is truly a strong resistance to change. It looks like nothing else on the roads and freaks people out. Definitely worth a research project for a college student or a serious researcher for that matter.

It is hard for some people to separate the product of a hundred thousand employees from the guy who proudly trumpeted his abusive, broken relationship with one his daughters. It gets really political, really fast.

But that doesn't explain the truck drivers, who seem to be the majority of what you guys are reporting. Or maybe that's political, too, just the other way.

We loved our PT Cruiser and I’m gonna love my Cyberbeast when it shows up in September or October. I wasn’t asking anybody’s permission when I decided I liked either.

Here on the Space Coast of Florida, so far no negative reactions that I've recognized.

I was walking into Publix the other day and a guy parked beside me said "Nice space ship".
Not sure if that was meant to be negative, I just said "Thanks!".

Lots of positive, especially kids, as many others have noticed.

As I read this thread, I sure don't get it. I see lots of ugly cars out there that I would never buy.
Why would I care if someone else chose them?
To have someone cut you off, or swerve toward you?
My 10 cent psychology tells me it's their insecurity for things they feel a loyalty to.

I don't really think it's because of Elon. In all the time I have talked to people no one mentioned Elon. I think it's mostly jealousy. Maybe because it's new and fancy and different. And it looks flashy. Also they know it's expensive and hard to get. And it's an EV too. So you add in a bunch of different things that makes some people mad. They might hate EVs.

My friend refuses to ride in it because of the way people were acting. Luckily there's lots more Cybertrucks around here now so it seems to be calming down.

Since February i have had literally thousands of positive reactions, from thumbs up, to filming to small talk in parking lots.
4 times i have had negative.
Redneck in bakersfield tried to brake check me while towing a car to get me to loose control
Redneck in Southern Oregon pulled in front to roll coal
Harley d bag flipped me off after i gave him room to lane split
And lastly a Ford Lightning hurried up and sped In front off me and “stopped short”
Lol mental midgets

IMO, Tesla really failed in not adding the '- Triggers snowflakes, communists, and mouth breathers' option in the Cybertruck feature list on the order page..

I likely would have paid extra for this feature if i knew at the time. :)
