Why does cybertruck need fsd 12.5 to be end to end for everything to have fsd at all? Sorry if this has been answered already.
It doesn't, but as discussed earlier it doesn't make sense for them to manually code the old highway stack for Cybertruck when end to end is near. Fact of the matter is the Cybertruck is at the bottom of the fleet when it comes to FSD due to the numbers.

The graphic actually says, "FSD for Cybertruck". I'm realizing they added that to make it clear they took it out. Not great way of doing it.
Super confusing. Why add things that aren't there.

Probably because it was widely disseminated that those functions were going to be part of the 12.5 release and weren't. You can argue that 12.5 was so good they wanted to get it out ASAP or for the more skeptical it was because they wanted it out for the quarterly call. On the upside it is getting pretty good reviews.

Looks like Tesla has expanded the update to all the HW4 models except Cybertruck. (Was just Model Y)

It would be cool if you could add training events to your specific vehicle.... so you could "pin" pot holes (or other things like speed bumps) in your own navigation system stored on your SSD/USB that the AI would take into account when driving.

Then there could be an online community that you could download KMZ files from people... so maybe there would be a file for a city or town that the community can keep up to date.

To my knowledge, the FSD system is not based on memorizing the real world but rather have the ability to interpret the video images. The solution therefore should be for the AI to recognize what a pot hole looks like and avoid it (just like we do!)

I believe you are correct, but the reason you know its a pothole, you were presumably told by someone it was a pothole, learned what a pothole looked like and why you avoid it and now you call it a pothole. AI needs that info, which is what the other poster was suggesting. This is along the lines of how Captcha works, it knows what's a bus or steps, its not behind the scenes coded as to which are right. Sorry, I work with AI for work.

Finally! Commuting 1-2 hours everyday without this has been brutal. Cybertruck was my first Tesla and I am looking forward to this! Am I setting my expectations too high?
As nice as autosteer is, I’m interested in the operating in close quarters features of FSD, for example, indications of how far from objects the front and rear ends may be… I am curious how accurate and safe it will be without ultrasonic sensors. There are some pretty big blind spots, even for the cameras. My model Y (with USS) hit another vehicle while smart-Summoning out of a parking spot.

Nope, FSD is no joke in the X and S. Just stay alert and you will know when to let your guard down a bit when you see it perform faster than you would and always use caution when around other vehicles.
