Should I proceed with ordering FS CT, non-FS/regular AWD CT and wait, or roll the 1k deposit into a MY?

Tesla said sales of non-FS starts this quarter. They also said deliveries for non-FS will begin in 2025.
That makes no sense. They are producing 1,300 per week. That's 325 per day with the new 4 day work week. If they make 325 on September 30 are those 325 just going to sit there for 3 months? Or are they going to start taking orders on September 30 but not produce any for 3 months?

According to the sales guy, I talked to I can put it on hold, but if I am not allocated a non-foundation CT by the time the hold is over i loose the $1k. He also said I can’t roll it into a model y. This isn’t what other people have said or experienced on the forum so wondering if he was Mistaken or just didn’t know - he seemed very unclear what the rules were.
Hmm this is news to me. My hold expires end of September. They keep changing the policies. Earlier they didn’t allow anybody to put a hold but now they do. I’ll just wait till the last week and see what happens.

Yes I agree - its seems to me that there is no clear policy and the sales guy I talked to didn't really seem confident about what the policy is but assumed that I would loose the $1k if the reservation hold expired and I wasn't given a allocation for a non-FS CT. He also said I can't roll it into a Model Y even though other people have said that you can use the $1k to purchase another Tesla. I just want to know my options but sounds like there isn't a clear policy unless people have heard otherwise? I tried getting ahold of someone again today but no luck.

Just repeating what Tesla has said.

They initially asked for 35k from Tesla financing but I got approved through chase and that ones around 20k which is fine - now the issue is that it won’t let me upload my chase offer and only shows me the Tesla financing offer and I asked them to undo the Tesla financing offer so I can upload the chase offer on the app but they also are not responding to that message on the chat. I don’t want to wait 1-2 years to get the non-FS so leaning towards the FS CT, but i at least want to know my options for example if I decide to just switch the order to a model Y would I be able to apply the $1k deposit towards that purchase - again I asked all these questions on the app but no response from Tesla only “reply YES if you want to place your order on hold”
Why don't you log on click manage order, cancel finance option. Then bring in check from Chase.

Thank you I was able to figure this out. The sales guy talk to you yesterday was able to reset it on his end. I was able to upload my loan from the third-party. i’m still leaning towards moving forward with the foundation series, but it’s a little bit unusual to not be able to at least understand all of your options before making a decision. It seems that Tesla does not have policies and if they do, they are not relayed to the sales associates. A simple answer as to if I put my reservation on hold will I still be able to use my deposit that I paid in order to get a non-foundation series cyber truck should be pretty straightforward But they can’t seem to answer that and just say you’ll loose the deposit if your turn doesnt come up before the hold expires

Hi all - I got the invite to configure the FS CT and got so excited that I went ahead and configured and paid the $1K order deposit. I got financing approval but the downpayment is a bit higher then I would like, so now im wondering if its worth waiting (who knows how long) for the non-FS CT aka regular AWD, proceeding with delivery (already assigned a VIN) for this FS CT I ordered, or even trying to roll the $1k deposit into a model Y (not sure if this is possible, I asked through the chat on the app but no response). My reasoning is as follows: I love the FS CT but it's obviously pricy, and I don't need any of the extra features except FSD which I don't NEED but would be nice to have. I currently have a model 3 and use FSD all the time but am also fine with regular autopilot. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind waiting for the non-FS regular AWD CT and save $27.5K, but I don't want to wait over 6 months and who knows when I'll have a chance to actually order the regular non-FS AWD CT. Alternatively, I'm even considering the model Y, and im not sure if they would let me roll the $1K deposit I paid towards a MY, and if so, its probably waiting for the Juniper release next year anyways. Looking to get peoples thoughts! Thanks.
A couple of things to think about. You might not get all the extras that the FS has. And there is a bunch. I bet it will be a pared down version of a FS. Could be wrong. And when when will you really get it and at what price? Maybe mid to late 2025? I dont think inflation was figured in that sales figure. And you are missing so much fun... As someone else here said it's all about affordability.

You heard on this forum that you can roll over the $1K into the purchase of another type of vehicle (i.e., the Model Y)?

It was either on here or on Reddit when I was first looking into the options and what other people had reportedly experienced. I remember seeing a post along the lines of whoever posted saying that they could hold the order or put it towards another Tesla which I assumed means a different model.
