I had the truck wrapped this last week and the place doing the work removed the front trunk liner and found a loose 12v battery just laying on top of the air intake shroud. WILD! ......but not surprising. I just saw Whistelindiesel's video with the duct taped washers acting as a shim and figured this could go right up there with it
**** EDIT - this is a 48v battery - NOT a 12v

I believe Munro Lives teardown showed 12v systems. Things like radios listening for your phone and things were still 12v. IIRC the 12v system can be jumped to unlock and open the door, too. In this case, my truck had its 12v battery installed but THIS was.... spare parts ?‍♂

What you holding is the 48V medium voltage battery and not a 12v battery. Should be part number 1679931-00-F.

That's a 48V battery in your hand. There are onboard DC-DC converters for devices at other voltages.

I think it charges inductively off of the air intake shroud! Actually it just gets hot!

Incorrect.
Munro definitely knows it is a 48V system with 48V battery.

It can be jumped by 12V, because there is a step-up converter on that circuit.

Yeah thanks for pointing this out. Someone else said the same thing and I made an edit to my original post. The battery itself says it's Noninal voltage is 41.6v

I'd say 90% is 48v as an estimate. The trailer hitch 4 pin and 7 pin have to be 12v to be compatible with trailer lighting.

And that's powered by the 48V system with a step-down converter in the rear.
