While developing accessories for the Tesla Cybertruck, we faced challenges due to Tesla’s design choices aimed at a sleeker and futuristic design. Designed for performance, the MARS EXPEDITION™ CROSSBAR (ADJUSTABLE) boasts a large contact surface area and multiple T-slots for secure and versatile attachment points. Whether you're attaching heavy loads or delicate equipment, our crossbars are engineered to handle up to 220 lbs., adhering to Tesla's specifications outlined in their official service manual.

DISCLAIMER

According to Tesla’s user manual and public information, the maximum load on roof racks is 220 lbs per 2-crossbar set. While Tesla didn’t specify whether this 220 lbs limitation is dynamic or static, given the capabilities of the vehicle, we want to believe the 220 lbs capacity is dynamic. However, the choice and liabilities are yours. Mars is not responsible for any damages to your vehicle due to inappropriate usage or installed accessories. For reference, the Rivian R1S has a dynamic load limit of 250 lbs and a static load limit of 790 lbs.

Yeah, what I can tell you is that our gear is tested way over the limit on a test bench and we will be releasing a video soon (hydraulic press). As a gear supplier, we feel it's also our responsibility to make sure our guideline follow Tesla's official manual ...

I suppose cool flexibility though.

In practice, they're almost always lined-up in the middle perfectly because you need to make sure the bolt holes line up with the t-slot nut. Also, it's super easy to slide the center piece left and right before you tighten them down
