We've had our Cybertruck for almost 4 months and it's been the go to vehicle for pretty much everything. We're ready to retire our other gas car (we rarely drive it) for a second EV, but we're not sure what.

I just want to hear what your ideal second vehicle is to the Cybertruck and why? Or maybe the CT is all you want/need?

Here's where I'm at:

Cybertruck 2: Return to Cybertron - We half-joked about getting a second Cybertruck because we love it so much, but it seems somewhat impractical since we both drive together most of the time. What are we gonna do, caravan in 2 Cybertrucks everywhere we go so we can both drive? Also, not sure if 2 will even fit in our garage.

Model 3 - I traded my 2022 LR in when we got the CT, and it was such an awesome vehicle. Would buy again. Probably Highland Performance. I eyeball these every time they drive by.

Aptera - If we really wanted to lean into the unusual looking vehicles. But I'm 6'5' and not sure I'd fit. Looks sweet in black, insane range, solar panels.

Ioniq 5 - We rented one and it was a lot of fun to drive, and I love the look.

Rivian R3 - So cool. I'm not sure what 80s nostalgia buttons in my brain they're pressing, but they pressed them.

Fiat 500e - Beep beep, fits anywhere, nice small compliment to the big CT, but small size is a concern.

Lotus Eletre - Bit of a splurge, but LOVE the look, so it's on the list.
Funnily enough the 2024 Lexus RX 350h is my wife's new car. Bought it as a back up during Texas blackouts (35 mpg on cheapest gas with 620 mile range)

In your case I would go with the Rivian R3. You get the looks and arguably the highest quality EV brand on the market

How does that help during blackouts, unless you keep it totally fueled? Like, gas pumps don't run without power.

A lot of us in frequent blackout areas keep ethanol free gasoline on site (for generators and cars). For hurricanes or winter storms we do ethanol free gas runs a day or two ahead. Also we never let ICE vehicles go below half tank

MSP. I have one in addition to the CB. Both amazing. Great sedan.

A small-to-medium displacement, off-road capable, motorcycle. Travels easily in the bed.

Amongst EV's, my Model 3 feels like like a fighter plane next to the Cybertruck - which feels like a starship. Gotta have both!

Steer by Wire would definitely be required

Whatever the next Tesla is to have SBW
Pretty sure next Model S and X will get steer by wire.

We had a '21 M3LR and a gas car for a while. When we got the CT, we also traded the '21 M3LR for a '24 M3LR. Ideally, the sedan is what we will use for the wife's commute and longer trips (where efficiency and range gets a premium).

So for me personally, I like tge 3 or the S. This is primarily because of range, full self driving and all the other little reasons that I'll never buy anything but a Tesla (unless something really bad happens).

There are no current plans on a refresh for those. They would have to completely re-design the cars and both combine for less than 50k sales, so I highly doubt that.

Elon said at one point some of the CT technology could come to new models in the future, but didn't say they would come to existing.

I'm thinking the next SBW model will be the Roadster if they actually build them next year.
We have a Y and an S in addition to the CT. Honestly I love the S but I can barely get into it after having the CT. The Y is much more practical then the S. Next vehicle? Maybe a roadster or a Semi with a cab ?

I’ve traded my ā€˜22 MSLR for my CyberTruck and kept my ā€˜24 MX 5 seater. I’ve looked at other EV’s prior to jumping from an ICE vehicles to BEV’s and settled with Tesla, now so I’m so used to its operations I don’t see any reason to bother with any other EV’s. It all boils down to ease of charging regardless of where I’m traveling.
