Just got it, going to check it out. How the hell does the system determine when to send these out. It's past my bedtime.

Is this update rolled out at random? I didn’t get any option to update yet
It's slowly rolling out. Got it on last night's software check.
Do you have advanced (or whatever the term is) set in the update preferences?

Understand chime has on/off.
so far assist is not of much use. The update picture, like above, is infrequent with that detail. does not do a great job recognizing parking lot lines. I’m going to clean all the cameras.

Actually. It was on advance. Guess it just hasn’t rolled out yet
This is my first Tesla, but what I’m gathering from a lot of reading is that they push it out by adding vehicles to a queue based on model and geography, and until you are in that queue you’re just not able to get the update.

Super painful to have to wait - I’m the person that our IT guys usually roles out new apps/tools/products to in order to field test them, so I’m used to getting things early and documenting detailed feedback to help everyone else out, but in this case there’s no way to get early access. Of course I’m sure most people on this thread are similar or you wouldn’t be here!

Unfortunately that’s how newer teslas are. The vision only system is the biggest downgrade. Every time I get an older loaner I’m surprised how much better FSD and park assist is vs newer teslas that are overall terrible.

While I get your frustration, this is how software development works. It is released as an MVP (minimum viable product) and then is improved iteratively over time.

That is Tesla's operating model as well, and is the reason they have "advanced" and "standard" as software update options.

If individuals don't like the growth process they give you the opportunity to stay further back in the curve. If you are game for being part of the growth of the software and are more tolerant of that type of experience you select "advanced" knowing it isn't a polished product.

Advanced isn't just for wanting completed features earlier, because who wouldn't want that? I see a lot of posts on this forum around features and software items that really do fall into this category.

Same here, 2014 S! I think I wrote that last post just as much for a reminder to me as well, as I can completely relate to the frustration from version to version and wanting it to work well.

While this does make logical sense but it must also mean that you will not get the .11 update if you don’t select advanced.

if you do get .11 then advanced just means you get it sooner. It would also stand to reason that .11 would be considered a beta.

If your on advanced it should have rolled out last night.
Yeah still pretty buggy. I'll have to try it today in the light and see if that makes a difference but in the dark it definitely will need a lot of work before its FSD ready.
I guess on the positive note it is a step towards getting FSD ready for the cybertruck.
