If a thread already exist for this please feel free to delete and show me where?. Thought it Would be nice for us newbs to ask things here.

A week in and I have 2 questions
1: 60% of the time my radio goes to the first station being Spanish on the radio list? Why? Is this normal or do I need to set something up to just go to last played? Half the time it doesn’t

2: does windshield wiper fluid suck this bad for real or is it just my truck? Even when holding it down to spray a minimal amount comes out and it’s basically running dry over the windshield? Also a few times when trying it the wiper staid in the down position? I’m sure I will have more questions soon ?

Same thing happens to the wiper with mine. Yeah the washer fluid isn’t very good. Regarding the radio I use the free streaming service. Slacker ?? Or whatever it is. Radio is great with the voice command. You can ask for a specific song or station and it will play it. Haven’t had issue with Spanish.

1. There’s a radio?
2. The wiper only sprays on the way up. When in motion (over 40mph?ish) the wiper will stay horizontal for about 30s to let the water run out the sides.

The factory washer fluid is gross, maybe you’ll have better luck with a different brand. Check the holes in the blade to ensure they are not clogged.

Yeah I don’t know it’s strange. It’s just deferring back to the first station on the list I’m pretty sure I’m using the slacker thing also

This is good to know I was scared I was going to do the service call thing. Well I was driving so maybe the fluid works better at a stop ? I thought the blade was going to rip because the window was just dry. I could see fluid on the wiper but hardly any went to the window

My windscreen/wiper performance was significantly improved by a hydrophobic coating (RainX)
So you drained what came with it and put rain X inside it and it helped more water come out ?

I drained the blue Smurf piss that was in the reservoir and filled it with Adam’s washer fluid. Much better and it’s clear.

My prior last new vehicle (Porsche Macan), was delivered in September and I stupidly assumed they had filled it with winter washer fluid. It froze up on the first cold day. I’ll never make that mistake again.

I drained the factory toilet water and used quality washer fluid.

Separately I cleaned the windshield thoroughly, including a clay bar, and applied RainX per the instructions.

Best way Ive found to use radio is to hit the push to talk button on right hand steering wheel, say “play piano man by Billy Joel”. Or “play Scar Tissue by Redhot chili peppers”. Once the song comes up and plays you can skip ahead in that genre using the left scroll wheel. Just push it to the right. Hope this helps.

Wow I didn’t know this. I just walked out to my M3 to see if I had a mic button and didn’t no this for a year ? I’ve always disliked the way the music works on slacker because I would have to type in the artiest then pick the song and it doesn’t play a entire album like a Amazon does it just mixes artiest after the first one. Thanks ?

Can you please explain how to drain the washer fluid tank? Syphon?

Also, the OM says to avoid water repellent type fluids, but you don’t seem to be having any of the problems it mentions.

The OM also says to only use ethanol based fluids, but I’m having trouble finding any. Suggestions Anyone?

I used to rainX all my cars(real rainX, not the rainX window cleaner). I couldn't image how long it takes to apply it to the CT window. That stuff is amazing though. I would never even need my windshield wipers. Could be pouring down rain and the wipers would be more of a distraction than help.
