Maybe I misunderstood your first comment. We both agreed he made it though. If you get past the obstacle and don’t need recovered, it’s considered success.You’re talking about the sport/adventure activity called “Off-roading” which, I assume, has some understood rules that apparently don’t include backing up.
I grew up living and driving on the dirt, gravel and mud roads and tracks we used for roads in Louisiana. If we got bogged down we did what we had to do to “make it through”. It wasn’t a game or sport; it was life. So, for me, he made it through.
