Have you tried to get Tesla to fix the blemish?

Honestly I would scrub it with some Bar Keepers Friend soft cleanser. If that don’t do the trick, Tesla needs to be engaged. ?. Of course this is after you complete your trial of the soap wash.

My go to on the stainless finish before I wrapped it was:
Deep clean - Bar Keepers Friend
Regular clean - Dawn dish soap
Touch up or fingerprints - Sprayway Glass Cleaner.

Maybe try lemon juice or distilled vinegar. Say wet a paper towel and just let that stick over the spot for a couple of minutes. If that helps but not enough, repeat. Don’t let it drip, doesn’t need to be that wet. Rinse thoroughly afterward. I’d err on the side of not leaving it on long at once, to check it more often, adjusting as experience was gai

Not specific to CT, but people have reported success using those mild acids on blackened stainless steel.

The Barkeeper’s Friend soft previously mentioned may also work, given it contains oxalic acid. But it is more abrasive although probably not excessively so on hardened stainless steel.

When you did the deep clean did you have to be careful about the plastic trim or is the BKF friendly to it? I have been considering doing the BKF or CitriSurf 77 treatment but am worried about discoloring the trim.

I did not take extra care other than not intentional scrubbing the plastic or rubber. After using it though a soap wash is required to remove any film residue.

I second this info 100%. I had a persistant stain from a bird poop and water stains from other products I tried to use to remove it. The Bar Keepers Friend removed it fairly easily. 1 towel to apply the BKF, another to wipe it off with Sprayway Glass Cleaner.

It removes tarnish/stains and leaves the SS with a raw metal *slight* blue tint, vs the *slight* yellow tint it normally has after exposure to air. The difference is so small, its hard to even see. So you need to clean the whole CT or just wait for the cleaned area to return to its normal yellow state naturally.

Honestly I used the cleaner on just about everything, fenders, bumpers, tonneau cover.

It would be pretty tedious to avoid those things so I just cleaned all those with it as well.

Yes I'm actually scheduling it to be buffed out or whatever they need to do to it. The repair center didn't give me a hassle at all and were very understanding.

I'll be posting some before/after pics of it then and the details of my engagement with the Tesla service center ?
