Back in May/June my CT was in service for almost 4 weeks because my AC charging never worked. I picked it up from Tesla and drove it home 150 miles and discovered that night it would not charge. Took it back to service and they ended up replacing a list of components. Here's my old post on it: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/no-ac-charging.17428/
Since the repair in June I have had no problems charging.

Well today I took the 2024.32.5.3 update. It was in my garage plugged in during the update. A couple hours later I went to leave and noticed the CT light on the charge port was red. Tried 2 different Level 1 chargers, and my Level 2 charger a few different times. Nothing works. I have not attempted DC charging, but for now AC is not working. Service menu shows that the PCS (they replaced this in June) is red when attempting to charge. The AC outlets are working.

I don't know about software updates, but is there a way to reset or reinstall the update? Or possibly do some sort of hard reset?

The closest thing I know of to a hard reset is holding down both scroll wheel buttons on the steering wheel for 5+ seconds to force it to hard reboot.

I have to do this sometimes to get the light shows from the USB port to show up.

Sounds like one or more of the components are failing to initialize after the update. You sure there isn't a way to reset in the service menu?

Mobile tech might actually be able to help you out with this one.

that would be great. How do I initiate mobile tech? Never done that before?

Suggest it in the comments when you create the trouble ticket with the Tesla App. They may or may not be able to acquiesce, though. Depends on their support matrix.

But a problem like this is high urgency, so you should get a higher priority than routine.

Yes, fortunately I tested DC and it works
That is good! Still silly annoying that you have to take it back in again but at least you can drive it there!

Yep. I am in the same boat as you. Updated software last night to 2024.32.5.3. I also had my Cybertruck plugged into my Level 2 charger. When I left for work this morning the light was red. When I plugged in at work I received the same error. During lunch I carried my CT by a local Super charger and it would charge. I called my service center and they have no idea why this was happening. I now have an appointment tomorrow morning. Hoping they can figure it out. More to come...

Sorry to hear that. I don't have my service appointment till later next week. If you don't mind either messaging me or updating this thread with what they tell you. I did put in a message through the app and asked if I could get a remote technician to troubleshoot. They said they would get back to me but no update yet

I will most definitely post the outcome. I hope it's software related.

Quick update. I contacted Tesla through the app and a technician messaged me. The technician had full access to the logs and could see that I reinstalled the software through Service mode---which i tried yesterday after a suggestion from above. They said not to do that and that it is not a fix and potentially could mess things up. They re-deployed the software (different from reinstalling) and it was updated again. Unfortunately the charging problem did not go away. They are still troubleshooting it...

dang, I was hoping a software init. would take care of it. Hopefully it's not hardware related. let us know what they find!

(also, it would be super rare for you to brick the truck by reinstalling software from the service menu, but I guess they "have" to tell customers that so people don't mess around with stuff they don't understand.)
