I was surprised to get this update this morning! Took a short drive to test it out during my lunch break.

It won't engage on roads without lane markings, although coming home on the same road it was fine to continue.

First disengagement was when we got to our destination. FSD put on the turn signal and started to turn right into the driveway to the parking lot, then just sorta stopped, still halfway in the road. I had to take over and pull into a parking space. It wouldn't engage for the drive home until I directed us out of the lot.

I immediately disengaged again, though. FSD wanted to turn left across two lanes and a double yellow line, which would have definitely been safe (if not legal) with less traffic, but there was also a pedestrian crossing and I wasn't sure how it would handle that in addition to four lanes of fast-moving traffic, so I chickened out and steered us to the right and around the block instead.

Final disengagement was a left turn that I thought it was cutting too close to a car in the perpendicular left turn lane, who had a red light but had pulled pretty far forward into the intersection. Again, this might have been fine, but I took over out of caution.

Otherwise, it was completely smooth. No problems navigating city streets with modest traffic, including unprotected left turns, a lane closed to construction, someone getting into a parked car, and other obstacles.

Just tried it out. I noticed it doesn’t seem to require hands on wheel as model X did. It is still good practice to have hands on it, but not requiring it makes short demos cooler.

At one left turn, it turned a bit too tight and get close to the car waiting on the perpendicular road. No interventions needed but a bit nervous.

Just had its first "screw up". Made a left on to a highway. There is a merge left white markers. It ignored those and went into the center yellow lines. I let it go 10 ft but it seems confused because it had yellow lines on both sides. So I took over to put it in its lane with the white lines. A cool pop up asked why I stopped it and to record the reason and send to Tesla.

Don't expect it to drive like the early access social media guys id say in LA, etc. always been something off about real world and those guys.

I feel like we will have a CT FSD accident thread starting soon ha.
