Cybertruck AWD FS owner since March 2024 here... I just got my offer to configure the non-FS at 11:30pm on 1 of my 2 Hour#1 reservations, obviously, I converted another Hour#1 reservation for the FS back in December 2023, and took delivery of my current FS Cybertruck in March, and paid a total of $102,235 with Powershare included, and zero NJ state sales tax and some nominal registration fee.
My post here is strictly a mathematical analysis, I am not here to persuade you to buy or cast doubts on your decision to defer your FS order.
For the $79,990 Cybertruck available now, if I want to configure it in a way thst is similar to the FS version (minus the white decor - I personally prefer it, but I would not pay $2k to change from the tactical Grey interior to white ml), I would have to pay $95,435 including some needed assessiories and FSD and Powershare. That price also included $300 for other misc. assessiories to bring it up to the same level of a FS version.
The difference on paper is only $ 6,800 ($102,235 - $95,435).
HOWEVER, srated in 7/1/24, NJ added the additional $1,000 for newly registered EV, and starting on 10/1/24, all EV needs to pay a mew NJ stste sales tax of 3%, in this case, $2,863.50. And, if you take delivery of the same non-FS Cybertruck after 6/30/2025, the full sales tax rate of 6.625% will be applicable, and that equals to an added tax payment of $6,322.57.
Therefore, that $6,800 price difference is getting eaten up real fast.... not to mention, you won't get the lifetime premium connectivity, White Decor and the FS badging ....
And.... where is the $7,500 federal tax credit? At least I didn't find it.
Overall, I like my Cybertruck FS AWD, if I can trun back clock, I would have made the same decision.

No big deal. I've only been waiting 5 years for this. OH MY FRIKKIN' GOD, I'M ALMOST THERE!!! SCREAMING INTO THE CYBERVOID IS WORKING!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!Just got an email to order my non-foundation CT. I had three early reservations and purchased a FS.

I'm pretty sure they'll get through the list in just a couple months.
Remember, the price is still 60% more than the reveal night. And it's still more than 30% more than the average new truck.
There's going to be alot of people like me knocked out by that little boost - or by some other happenstance.

If I wasn't getting a Cybertruck, id be getting a Sierra Denali or loaded Silverado, which would be 80k easily. Cybertruck is the way to go ?
