I don't know about other CB owners, but I like my music loud.
The stock system with its 15 speakers and 2 subwoofers is just not loud enough for me.
and another thing is I like to listen to music when I'm outside around my truck.
like say when I'm washing my truck, at a remote job site, or camping.
I would like to play music from my phone even when I'm outside of the truck.
The radio turns off when you get off the seat? I dont like this feature!
anyone have an easy upgrade to do this?
Can I just get bigger amplifiers?

It’s tricky to do this with standard parts like other non-Tesla vehicles. The only company I know of doing audio upgrades for cybertruck is Light Harmonic. They have most of the speakers available as plug and play swap outs already but their cybertruck-specific amp and subwoofer replacement isn’t yet out (but is apparently being released soon). There are some threads already on the forum about this, one with an impressive custom upgrade.

I often use the app to vent the windows and start the tunes. It will turn off eventually but If you use camp mode it will stay on till 20% charge.

I do want more sub punch, DSP limit IMO. But for your outside needs, just throw a big JBL 710 in the bed for under $600.

I am a little disappointed in the sub as it feels very far away from the driver and is already rattling some unknown surface in the rear of the cab. If you end up switching it out, I’d be interested to see if it helps. My old 6-series BMW had them right under the seats and that was awesome! I didn’t have to touch that sound system. For my Model S, I put in the NVX sub in the back. It also was very far from the driver.

Doesn’t our trucks have an exterior speaker you can play music through ?

There might be a hidden gain control somewhere?

look I'm 51 but I'm not your average 50 y old. I like heavy metal rock and loud. been around live rock bands all my life. I like classic rock and the newer stuff also like Pearl Jam, System of a Down, Pantera, Iron Madin, Rage Against the Machine, Guns n Roses, AC/DC, Nirvana, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Black Sabath, Ozzy Osbourn, Scorpions, Journey, Jimmy Hendrix, Chris Cornell, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Tool, Primus, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Eagles, Santana, Queen, Janice Joplin, Amy Weinhart,
I don't think the number of speakers has anything to do with it.
There is some kind of limit governor that is most likely set at something below 100 decibles anything above 100 decibles is considered to cause damage to the ear drum.
this is probably true, but not all eardrums are built the same including the shape and length of the ear canal and how many hairs, how long and thick are they? is there a nice healthy coating of wax on the Durm? ha-ha nasty no but it's true. and we all have hair and wax in our ears if you don't there is something wrong with you. go see a doctor immediately. It's just a matter of to what degree. and this will increase with age. see that's good news!
I have been to concerts and live events where I'm standing literally inches away from a stack of woofers taller than me blasting music at 140 decible levels and I don't think I have ever experienced any hearing loss. but I don't recommend it that's just me.
I remember that a good loud sound system in a car would have enough power to blow out your speakers so that you had to be careful not to turn it all the way up.
it's very noticeable when you go past the speaker's limit, they get some distortion before actually reaching the breaking point so as long as you bring it back down so there's no distortion you won't damage the speakers. But at least you know that you have more than enough power.
and if I want to sit in lawn chair outside my car drink beer and listen to music all day it fuckn better be loud. but you can't even get out the car and leave the radio on. If you only knew how many times, I killed my 12v battery just listening to music and i didn't care about the battery the music was more important. that's what jump starts are for.
