I’ve got the same problem. They removed FSD from my 2020 M3SR+ and “transferred” it to my new nonFS CT. It says it has FSD, but the option to use FSD is grayed out. It’s been a pain to go back to manual driving, drove 300 miles on Thurday. OTOH, I am getting a better feeling of the CT. CT S/N 46,700.

In you Telsa App, I'd submit a service ticket to get your update pushed to you. Also, what version does your car say its on? Normally, the factory versions are something like 2024.xx.100.xx.

The most current, widely released version, is 2024.33.15 (FSD 12.5.5.2).
I’ve got the same version 2024.32.100.1 that I updated to on 11/16/24. Please post it here once you get your FSD.

Just wanted to share my experience with this as well. I took delivery on 11/9 and had 2024.32.100.1 I never got any software updates yet and when I went to order accessories on my account I even got an error stating that I did not have any eligible vehicles (so the CT wasn't even registering on my account). I made a service appointment for the issue and they directed me to call customer support. Customer support said there was an issue with my software/firmware and that my CT isn't accepting any software updates. They told me to resolve the issue with service.

I messaged service and they re-installed 2024.32.100.1 and removed the backlog of updates trying to be pushed. This seemed to fix the problem as I can now order accessories at least. I've also started receiving game updates (I'd rather have FSD but this is a start). Hopefully I'll start getting the regular updates now.

Just throwing this out there in case anyone has a similar situation.

We took delivery on 11.13.2024 and immediately got a text notification that our FSD free month was active. I was told we could activate FSD after the 40 mile camera calibration. 400 miles later and still a no go. Also the Spotify app will not leave the QR code screen even after my phone says the vehicle is linked to our account.

I took delivery on 11/6 of my DM (come on everybody, do it with me. We can drop the non-FS prefix thing now). It was queued for an update before I drove off the lot. As soon as I accepted delivery in the app for my truck I got a notification from the app saying the FSD transfer was successful. Like immediately, microsecond after accepting.
I did not install update on service center WiFi, wanted to hit the road!

I installed the FSD update as soon as I got home. Actually posted here about it someone else’s Cat got bricked updating theirs and was worried mine was too but it took 57 minutes for update once downloaded.

4.5 years ago, when everyone was real ansi for FSD updates, people swore you could ping yours if it wasn’t triggering the update, by connecting to a service center wifi.

Maybe those whose trucks aren’t updating never got connected to SC wifi? If you have one nearby might as well try, I know the feeling waiting for that update is brutal!

If you try and works def report back!

What version did it actually update you to?

I read that the free spotify comes with 2024.38 build. Premium spotify should link, though. Until you get off the factory build, FSD won't be available. The calibration will start once it's activitated (and the 40 mile is a generalization). I believe my last vehicle only took about 10 miles to calibrate.

As long as there isn't an issue with your firmware (like I mentioned above with mine), the updates will push automatically based on your VIN.

The camera calibration is not related to how soon your vehicle is brought up to date with the latest FSD version. Thats staged based on VIN for new cars.

Guys, be patient. I've heard it can take up to a month with no way to have it pushed out anymore.

Well if this is the case then why did they activate my free month of FSD before I am able to use it? I did hear from one of their techs who advised the following. He said when he looked at my truck it was running the factory “islanded” software. FSD will not be available till the trucks 1st software update to merge with the rest of the fleet. I am still waiting to hear if that will also fix the Spotify issue.

I am also on 2024.32.100. The software update that includes free spotify is on 2024.38 and you can see that here... https://www.notateslaapp.com/software-updates/version/2024.38.2/release-notes

I had my free month immediately activated as well. Logic is not in play here. I paid for FSD in full $7k. Just wait and be patient. Plenty of other threads on reddit (and here) where people are trying to force and request the latest updates from service after taking delivery. It's no longer possible like it was years ago. It's been explained directly from tesla that the first big initial update (which includes FSD) is staged by vin and done in waves to help server congestion. Can happen days or 3-4 weeks after delivery.

Lots of newer features like the spotify app update will come along with it. See link.

If it makes you feel any better, the CT v12 is kinda shit and barely useable.
1) lane selection is borderline dangerous (mine tried to cross 3 lanes for an exit off the highway and had I not taken over would have hit those water filled barrels)
2) speed selection is worse than the very first version of FSD ever released (it NEVER stays at a single speed regardless of if there are people on the road or just you, it RARELY ever goes the speed limit, sometime 10-15mph UNDER the speed limit. Settings are 100% ignored and pointless to set)
3) turning is still not calibrated properly, it turns way to sharp either almost hitting cars or taking our curbs

I did a 700 mile trip the other weekend, and used it most of the drive. As long as you constantly monitor the speed and manually press the accelerator every few mins to keep it up to where it should be. It's okay. one night I left the festival and just let it drive home and the FCW system went off like 2-3 times while IT was driving xD Followed by going 15mph under the speed limit on the back roads going back to the airbnb. It made it back "safely" but it was a hell of an adventure.

A little perspective:

This entire thread cracks me up.

I have been driving my Model S for nearly 12 years now I think. The only camera it has is the backup camera. It doesn’t even have bumper sensors. So like every other vehicle I have, I have actually been (gasp!) driving it myself ?—Luddite, I know. I’m so very 2013.

Seems like FSD must be pretty addictive. I would think though that getting the hang of driving this vehicle could take some getting used to compared to other Teslas with it’s size and the steer by wire and all. It’s a pretty unique vehicle. At least for the sake of safety it may be best to spend time really getting the hang of driving it so that when you do have to take over while using FSD and it makes an error you are ready to quickly recover the vehicle from whatever mistake it was trying to make. To me that just seems like common sense but perhaps I’m not intoxicated with FSD as of yet and don’t understand the withdrawal syndrome well enough to get it. I guess my Model S was bunk.

This will be my first FSD vehicle but even though I have some excitement about that, I wouldn’t use FSD for a month or two even if I could because I would want to actually be competent in driving this particular vehicle type and know how it handles and what it can and cannot do so that I would be better at watching for it’s limitations while eventually using FSD in the future and being ready to take over for an error recovery so I don’t take out a mailbox or a toddler or something. I pick it up this weekend so I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

Cheers

Agreed with all new truck owners here, our Cyberbeast is in the garage (paid cash), sales told us everything is up to date, week post the sale and being told "eventually" we will have FSD. Ours does not have any assisted cruise features....

I think the issue is the way this is being communicated to the buyer's. If correct information is provided on the front end, it is easier for one to either have the patience, or simply hold on your purchase.
