Tesla started selling CT nine months ago and charged $20,000 extra for FSD and other minor things. Is it ethical to charge that amount for something that Tesla was not able to deliver at the time.? It is obvious that the software development has been finance with our money. I think that Tesla should compensate us for the delays and inconveniences is causing to CT owners. I wonder if we will ever get the software update. Please stop lying about dates of delivery.
LOL. I paid for FSD 6 years ago on my model 3 and am still waiting.

Cut this from my CT order sheet minutes ago: "Full Self-Driving (Supervised)". Is this what you guys are debating?

I helped one with the rant, numbers help some people.

1. Ethics are not really followed by many companies (WR Grace, Enron, Exxon etc). Why should one expect Tesla to be different.

2. Tesla doesn't need your financing. LOL

3. Keep dreaming

4. Never for you.

5. I will pass it along.

I waited over three years after paying for FSD on my 2018 Model 3

I am a first time Tesla buyer. I feel like I am pretty much a realist. I am a huge Tesla and Elon fan. However I have been told by the CEO that I would receive FSD months ago. I got excited, I made travel plans, and I found out from many on here that I should not take him at his word. That made me sad, but I can understand it. I mean the man is putting civilians in space, launching a pleathora of satellites, taking care of his kiddos, making X the dominate media platform of the world, making tunnels that will change the way we commute and possibly making a new phone and search engine that will revolutionize the way we learn and communicate.... Oh and he is also developing robots and AI and Neuralink.... The director of his FSD program recently came out with a "roadmap" to help me understand the timeline for parking assist, ASS and FSD. It is now the ides of September and the only ASS in sight is mine. (And I think I am a dumb one for falling for it again.) I have serious doubts about their ability to deliver FSD in the next two weeks. I love the truck, and I am still a huge fan of Tesla and Elon, but I think we all are a little frustrated at the process of being told things will happen and repeatedly seeing those promises getting mised.

All of us FS folks were told prior to taking delivery that FSD would be coming ‘later’ OTA. We had to agree to that prior to proceeding with our orders.

I’m not sure how much ‘later’ is too much though, haha!!
Don’t you have better things to do than sit around and complain about something that didn’t have a promise date?

Enjoy your truck. Play with your children, go to the movies, take a nap, wash your truck by hand.
MOBE ON.

You probably shouldn’t have signed the agreement that said it will come later then 😆. But good luck getting something back.
I guess I’m one of the only ones who wouldn’t even use it , I do want it because I paired for not of corse but when I had a free trial for a month with my M3 I used it 1 time and that was it. I do enjoy when driving far the self drive feature but relinquishing all control on streets and lane changes just isn’t for me 😆

I stopped taking the bus and bought a Cybertruck, thinking I’d never need to drive again 😤

In all seriousness the FSD delay is surprising to no one

That can’t be true?
100% true. Here's another truth. CT won't get fsd, either, for a few more years. I think there is some hope we will get fsd-beta by the end of the year but you will be happier if you keep your expectations low. Don't get me wrong, FSD-beta, as of about 12 months ago, is amazing and actually somewhat useful, but it isn't FSD. Still a lot of work to do.

It is as much as it takes. I am sure we all would be much happier if we had it already, or at least as soon as practical. I look every day. But some people are just too used to complaining and getting what they want right away. It is a 'bully' approach.

Your personal definition of "FSD", from my read of your statement, is Level 5 autonomy, where no steering wheel is required. Tesla's definition of "FSD" was a suite of functional features that allowed for full autonomy, without the associated regulatory approval, knowing that no one can predict national policy on autonomy. Look at what has happened in California with Waymo and Cruise? What kind of stupidity gives the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) purview over self driving vehicles? And clearly they botched that up royally, only showing that the Califiornia CPUC is heavily influenced by lobbyists (and should probably be thrown out). I do not believe that the current state of Tesla FSD is at the autonomy level; too many things it cannot do. But I also believe that they will get it before anyone else, and I am glad that I have "subsidized" Tesla for 3 vehicles. I just want to have greater autonomy for myself as I get less reliable as a driver. I want the first release of FSD on the Cybertruck to at least be as good as FSD on our Model Y. It wouldn't be perfect by a long shot but it would be enough to reduce some of the more monotonous driving we sometimes do, with the hope of continued improvement over time. Demanding anything else is expecting too much and, frankly, ignorant of reality.
