No… I have L2 home charging. Monticello will be my test in 10 days. Is this the A2Z? I sure as heck hope it works. Did you try it at the Durango transit station? That’s the CCS DC charger everyone uses.
So I am leaving Durango transit now. My adapter is EVbase but A2Z might have the same problem if it is some kind of software thing. I tested it at EA in Park City and it worked. Monticello uses the same system as Price and I could not initiate in Price both times I tried it. If your adapter works at Durango then my guess is it will work in Monticello.

Cool… keep us posted. I may run down and see how it goes in Durango.

Also if you’re headed to Moab from Durango you don’t need to charge in Monticello. It’s all downhill from Monticello so you definitely would make it starting with 80%. Just don’t go through Cortez and you’ll save a few %. From Moab to Durango it is uphill so you will want at least 80% from the new V3 station.

Oh yeah… I do it monthly. I usually charge to 100% and I land in Moab at 48%. So I’m confident I can do it starting with 80%. It’s coming back that is tight. I start with 100% and I end 30-34%. I can probably start with 80% coming back but based on my lead foot… I may be in single digits. Too close for me without a bailout charge.

Would be nice to see if anyone can pull 350+ kw from low SOC from any of these adapters. I finally got mine to work at an EA station after having trouble with a chargepoint station but I couldn’t test speed since I was at high SOC.
I tested my A2Z CCS1 to NACS Cybertruck adapter for the second time today. It was 43 degrees F. The battery was preconditioned and I started with a 4% SOC at a 350 kW electrify America charger. Charge quickly went up to 359 kW charge and when very fast. Pictures attached. All worked great.

Nice! Thanks for the report. Where is that charger located?

Have you tried your adapter again? I haven’t been able to activate chargepoint CCS in Colorado or Utah and also couldn’t get it to work at an Enel X CCS in New Mexico. EA worked when I tried it.

I know from previous experience and Plugshare that these stations work (with other Teslas). I even got on the phone in Durango and customer service tried every way of activating it and could not. It seems like the problem would be with the vehicle but last month I charged in Pagosa (with a Rivian) and a CT pulled up and the guy appeared to be using an evject-based adapter and acted like he’d done it before. We were taking off so I’m assuming it worked.

I have only tried twice, an EVCS CCS at Town & Country Market in Poulsbo WA, and an EV Connect ♾️ at West Hills Ford in Bremerton WA… they worked but without precondition only about 50 kW. This is with the EVBase adapter.

Gaylord Michigan is where I charge at. I would only recommend the A2Z adapter as it is the only Cybertruck CCS1 adapter that is designed to properly handle up to 1000 volts.

So I just tried my A2Z in Monticello,UT ... it's a Chargepoint as you pointed out. No dice :( The Cybertruck charger color is dark blue when pushing in. It states “Charge cable not fully secured. Please adjust the connection to improve charging”. I leaned on it pretty good and jiggled it, etc. It will not take a charge.

Is that what you got?

I just opened a support case with them on this. The only reason I can see this happen is it's trying to get AC and not using the DC. I can try it at another non-Chargepoint charger.

Yep, that’s what I’ve found at chargepoint and Enel X. I was on the phone with them in Durango and we tried activating it every way possible and because it doesn’t seem to lock the station keeps waiting and after a while it does lock but by then the station has timed out. So there’s something wrong. I use the tire to push it in so I know it’s seated but the other error I get is something about the CCS button not being meant to stop the charge.

Have the a2z, it's really made the truck so much more usable for me. I cant recommend enough. Ridiculous that tesla still doesn't have this accessory. I've had zero problems, chargepoint is my go to when superchargers are out of range.

Just checking, is the charger CCS or J1772 ?

The A2Z purposefully was made to NOT work with J1772 so that they can get a safety approval. If that’s it, the Cybertruck should have come with a J1772 adapter which will handle those cases.

There are lots of J1772 chargers around.

Another possibility is that the charger cord is so heavy that the long rod at the top of the adapter isn’t pushing hard enough. Maybe both inserting and lifting force needs to be maintained.

Or, some other problem of course!
