Notify Tesla Insurance if you wrap your Cybertruck?

Anybody have the Tesla Insurance and got a wrap? Do you have to let Tesla Insurance know? Will the monthly payment go up? I hear mixed results, but I want to DIY the wrap. But just wanted to make sure the wrap doesn’t void my insurance. Also having difficulty contacting Tesla Insurance. They don’t answer or reply to emails.

I've always wondered this, and whether we're supposed to let the DMV know as well (and the toll tag companies). Out CT has changed color 6 times in less than a year, so far I've not bothered to tell any of them, and probably never will, but if I get pulled over and it becomes an issue I'll let y'all know!

Police, generally, won’t stop you for JUST a color discrepancy. They’re aware people get their cars painted/wrapped (especially something like the CT), but technically they can, so maybe don’t do any drug dealing in your wrapped CT.

If an officer is bored enough, you might get stopped, but I can’t imagine what a ticket might be for. Driving vehicle not matching registration color? He’s most likely just gonna make sure the VIN matches and that it’s not stolen and send you on your way.

I let me insurance know. He said fine didn't change the price but to make sure I keep a copy of the receipt.

It depends if you want to insure your wrap job in case your truck is totaled. Just one more reason wraps are a bad financial choice. They increase the repair cost and extend the time the vehicle is out of service. But yeah, if you have enough money to burn that you don't care, the increased liability is no big deal.
