Non-Sponsored Running Board Reviews?

For running board owners who have no affiliation with, or kick backs from, part vendors - I’d love to know what brand you purchased, how much you paid, and how satisfied you are (0-10). I’m worried about making blind purchases.

My wife has complained that the truck is too high even when I have it set to lower when parked so I figured this is my best option.

Unfortunately, the ctoc has become completely flooded with ads, a huge majority of them coming from China. I know at least 30 CT owners personally and one has purchased running boards, so it might be hard to find your requested non-bias review. To be fair, my circle tends to be off-road enthusiasts, and running boards are just another thing to get hung up on that serve no purpose on a truck with an entry mode. I'm not bashing running boards, go for it! They just aren't popular off-road.

I just ordered a set of running boards from Tess studio. They say they will ship about Christmas so I won’t get them until after Christmas, but I will submit a review after that. I am strictly on the road cyber truck driver I have no inclination or desire to go off-road in this thing so I’ll give you my review after I get them.

OP, my wife asked me to get running broads. Even on entry mode, she finds the climb in isn't easy.

I am not an off-roader. Parking on grass at an event and getting excited about going into high mode is about the extent of my non asphalt driving. My wife is vertically challenged and at times even in low mode finds it difficult to get in as she also has issues with her knees. So I looked around for running boards. I was not sponsored.
I found what I wanted and bought during the Black Friday reduced prices. (I paid $610)
i ended up getting the ones from CTmods.

I’m in your camp. I’m really not an off-road type person playing in. The mud is not for me. I guess I’ve done enough of that when I was a youngster, but I do have a question you might be able to help me with. i’ve noticed with my truck there seems to be more differential noise than I would imagine. I also have a model three dual motor and I’ve noticed it’s a lot quieter than my truck. My question is is there something inherently wrong with the gearbox on these trucks or is it just me looking for something to complain about appreciate the response by the way I have a set of running boards on order but Christmas has slowed up shipment considerably

Purchased and installed RealWheels EV stainless with satin finish in June, am very satisfied and would purchase again. Swapped out supplied fasteners for stainless bolts and hd washers. Current ad pricing.

Prudent for installer to first chase the threads of the truck mounting bosses with a tap (any brand of boards).

Same thing here. My wife and my elderly mother have both complained about this as well and I also have it set to lower when parked. Running boards for the vertically challenged is needed. ?

Since I have not owned any other Tesla’s, I don’t have anything to refer to. My truck sounds pretty good to me. I live in between Knoxville, Tennessee, and Kingston, Tennessee, if you lived close, I wouldn’t mind meeting and comparing.

I echo this. I installed the black running boards (Real Wheels EV) last week. They are great and the wife loves them. We are in MN so something with some grip is much better than something flat. Most of them are just flat.
