  1. CyberTent (formerly Basecamp Tent) Camping for 2 Days Using DIY HVAC Solution - Takeaways (and reaction to other video)

It has been a couple of weeks since my last update on this post, but things haven't been idle. :) I received the first production prototype window insert from Campstream, and it looks WAY better than the corrugated plastic insert I used for my first field test. I'm currently finishing up an...
  2. Common Issues -- & Resolutions from Tesla Service Center

I picked it up mid-February, so it's a couple of months old. VIN is in the mid 1300s.
  3. Common Issues -- & Resolutions from Tesla Service Center

I have an appointment on the 29th for a few issues, one of them being the bed divider not latching in place in the middle third of the bed. We'll see if it gets fixed of if I'm told they'll let me know when there is a solution. :/
  4. Windshield wiper moves left to right at over 65 mph

Yea, I'd understand if it moved inboard of the A pillar over a certain speed and stayed there, or even if it moved it inboard every time you put it in drive, but I don't think that's what some of us are seeing. For me, it's moving back and forth maybe 1/4" (if that), but it's enough to tell it's...
  5. Windshield wiper moves left to right at over 65 mph

I remember reading about this during the development cycle and "move slightly" seemed to imply it would change the angle of the wiper arm slightly for better aero. The question is does "move slightly" mean a one time slight movement or constant slight movement because the latter seems a bit odd...
  6. Windshield wiper moves left to right at over 65 mph

I thought it was wind at first, but I've noticed when it's happening on my truck, it'll continue doing so even when I'm at a complete stop. Once I stop somewhere and exit the vehicle, it stops and may or may not do it again on the next drive. It just seems a bit odd and I would think is not...
  7. Windshield wiper moves left to right at over 65 mph

This is expected behavior over a certain speed. Can’t remember if it was 35 or 45 mph. It stays down to keep water from immediately coming back up the windshield.
  8. Windshield wiper moves left to right at over 65 mph

I’ve seen the same behavior on my truck and it’s super bizarre and inconsistent. Not sure what’s causing it, but I haven’t reported it yet, either.
  9. Driving “the other car” after weeks with the Cybertruck

Hah! Indeed. Not having even basic AP on the Cybertruck makes it less enjoyable for me when it comes to road tripping, but that's offset by it just being generally fun to drive and access to the Supercharger network. The routes we take that have CCS chargers are super unreliable, so I refuse to...
  10. Driving “the other car” after weeks with the Cybertruck

Same. We have an R1S and it was my daily driver before we got our Cybertruck. I absolutely loved the R1S and still do in some ways, but driving it feels like a major step backwards and I find the suspension in the Cybertruck to be more comfortable. The R1S is a great road tripping vehicle...
  11. CyberTent (formerly Basecamp Tent) Camping for 2 Days Using DIY HVAC Solution - Takeaways (and reaction to other video)

Definitely an easier solution for warmth when it's cold. Even an electric blanket would likely be plenty. Doesn't work so well to stay cool in the summer, though. :)
  12. CyberTent (formerly Basecamp Tent) Camping for 2 Days Using DIY HVAC Solution - Takeaways (and reaction to other video)

I don't really want to beat a dead horse on this topic, but I do feel compelled to share my perspective on this after having the truck for a couple of months. I understand the appeal for a pass through window on the surface, as it could provide for a temperature controlled sleeping environment...
  13. CyberTent (formerly Basecamp Tent) Camping for 2 Days Using DIY HVAC Solution - Takeaways (and reaction to other video)

That's what I'm working on with them right now. I've done a bunch of 3D scanning of my truck for them and they are sending me some parts to test fitting before going to production. I'm not sure on the timing for its release, but I can say with certainty it is in the works. :)
