Has anyone with an AWD Model had the squeaking/chirping noise from the front motor/inverter fixed?

I think this is a normal sound. Sound travels much easier through cold air.

I have heard this with my truck and other electric motors.

I think this is a fairly normal gear backlash sound. Its easier to notice when I hold a certain 'throttle' position.
Probably so. What makes it SUPER hard to accept is that my wife’s 2026 Model Y AWD is just dead friggin silent. I get it’s a totally different vehicle but that they made that car so quiet and the CT not makes it hard to ignore.

They thought it was a hub, replaced the driver side with a new revised one. Still making the chirping sound then get a hvac air leak or window seal leak noise… tried bio mode, hvac recirc on and off, system off makes no different in the sound… a member said their was a new revised front drive unit in the works, but the Service center can’t find anything in their system logs that indicate anything coming in “early 2026”

This is the only issue I have with my truck and its has been getting progressively worse. I've had the truck since June '24. It only happens between 15-40 mph (audio/video attached). The sound in the video file doesn't do justice to how loud the noise actually is. Its loud, and can be heard over music at a decent level.

Sounds like my VIN# 69,xxx May 2025 build at slow speeds.

is this the sound we're talking about? I have a CT AWD and hear a sound as well, but its not the super high pitched sound all the tesla's make, it almost sounds like a belt going bad in an older car (the squealing belt sound) and occurs loudest between 30mp and 45mph. Here's a sample (you can hear it sound fluctuating during most of the video): https://share.icloud.com/photos/0cbIgd_K6yaq5Xyxdi7lXyUOA

Sounds like it to me. Does it go away when the motor warms up or when heavy on the throttle?

Yeah for the most part, but I can still occasionally hear it, just not as loud.

I have a 25 AWD and do not have that noise.

Gear whine? We don’t have a transmission
There are gears between the motor and output half shafts.

just traded my 2024 for a 2026, vin in the 91,xxx range and it’s dead quiet.

Like remarkable quiet.

My 2024 made the sounds everyone is referring to from day 1 and 35k miles. Core wheels and tires are super quiet too.

My truck start making this noise immediately after having the front drive unit replaced. Never previously heard it before the replacement or on the CT loaner I drove.

I hate being that guy, but I'm considering asking for the FDU to be replaced again...
