I finally got my light bar (different story) and got a CT loaner (YAY).
Off to Morgan Hill to see the grandkids and feels like wheels are out of balance. Over 75 mph is uncomfortable. Not like Tesla to have this problem on a loaner.
Maybe a wheel picked up mud or something? I pulled off to take a look. The hubcap (original one) had half the rubber ribs (on the outer part to match the tire) torn off. Could that be it?
Yep, removed both rear hubcaps and smooth as fast as loaner allows.
I tried to explain this to Tesla service, lots of blank stares.
So I am posting here in hopes someone can be helped. Hubcaps are part of wheel balance - avoid the problem with inspection or just buy better wheels.
