yea that’s had to contact uber support to get it added to the vehicles, they manually added it as the model X, some would complain and low rate bc vehicle didn’t match, but most loved it.
I'd be careful with that, Uber won't cover accidents in vehicles you're not supposed to be driving.

Yea there real sticklers. Vin matches, and they approve it for use. But your right it’s not worth the fight with them.

I tried doing this with my Cybertruck, and Uber wouldn't have it. Still not approved after 2 years of trying off and on.

Wish Lyft would let us do comfort or something above the basic level, with the truck. Haven't done any drives with them with it, maybe when it snows again I'll take it out to make some extra cash.

If you stay registered and don’t drive, they will begin to offer you good deals / quests. My first uber quest was do 3 rides get 300$. That’s what hooked me.

The CT is probably a fantastic snow Uber/Lyft vehicle.

In that last ice storm we had, I picked up this drunk dude "Bbbbbrooooo! $20 tip for picking me up in a CT! Another $20 if you drift it!" Needless to say, dude gave me a $40 tip 😎

100k miles mostly doing Lyft in this sucker — one of the first 10k VIN.
That’s a lot of miles.

Bought my used (MYLR) with 28,684 miles, now have 35,966.

Keep Truckin!

It was linear at first then once it hit 94% range it started flatlining, maybe 60k - Now it seems I'm really having a hard time pushing degradation further down. 10c/kwh is because we live in the Ohio Valley aka 'hydro electric' region, and electricity has always been cheap here. Lot's of Teslas around - no surprise lol.
Gotcha OP....thanks for sharing and congrats on that kwh cost.

Best tip I ever received was a hundred dollars taking a dude to the airport. He was quiet - just kept smiling and looking around at the inside of the truck. It's little things like that which makes doing Lyft so freaken' rewarding - I get to share this thing with so many excited people who have always wanted to just see one, and now they get to ride in one.
upon seeing your post I wandered how many people wound up buying a CT or even just a Tesla because of the experience you provided them. Care to take a guess?

Mmmm maybe 25-50 out of the 3000 rides I've done. Night time riders which I haven't done many of since june of '25 were the biggest converts, but I wake up at 2:30a and do Lyft until 7a now. I think the interest is there but too expensive for most around here(even base model). Over 60% of people (20% make up the quiet ones, many headed to work too baked to talk, you can smell it after they leave🙄) were surprised of 'how nice it was on the inside'. As I write this, I took a photo of a familiar shape nearby😏 Anyway at the end of the day, you could try ane sell someone a new Tesla for 20k and many just feel like they aren't worthy enough for it, that they couldn't figure it out, range anxiety, hate Elon, etc.

On a separate note: this job is very humbling, and maybe 3 out of over 3000 people have hated this truck. One woman hated, and at the end of the trip said it was 'okay' with a smirk - I said 'get outta my truck jp 😂'. Another woman said 'I hate this truck' and at the end of a 15 min drive she said 'I'm gonna buy this truck'🤣🤣🤣 Several men have said 'damn Im gonna buy one of these!' and forget their wives are sitting right next to them and say 'OH NO YOU'RE NOT!'🤣🤣🤣 this one old guy from England wanted it so bad and his wife gave him hell the whole trip like 'you're crazy Robert! Have you gone mad!?!'😂

Hell while we're on story mode, I've been handed a 1 year old and a car seat in each arm and asked to put the baby on the front porch, picked up prostitutes, been asked for my number way too many times, had my arm fingered by a drunk guy (he didnt make it home with me), dropped off disabled people at homeless shelters, picked up a staggering drunk elf a week before christmas (it passed out in the back seat), had a knife pulled on me from outside in the projects (why was I there🙄) the stories go on and on.

Heard about it from a guy at a Supercharger. Maybe he was told wrong? Confirm at Tesla. I have to have 120v ->USB C for my phone use case anyway.
