Why are you not trading in your other truck since owning 2 seems kinda pointless for you/most people.
Maybe you have never owned Tesla before? Many of us find them very hard to let go, especially if they have lifetime FSD. Partly because they are so easy to own, no need for regular oil and filter changes, even on a low mileage car. Even if you never drive it it can just sit there, all you need is a 15 or 20 amp 120V outlet.

My wife and I have collected 4 of them so far! Of course, three of them are mine... She did trade in her 2018 Model 3, even though I didn't want her to! ?

Yeah. My approval was pretty quick. From what I’m reading it sounds like it’s 4% plus applicable taxes and fees to get the 0%. Does that sound about right?
This is what I figured out. The taxes and fees seems to automatically get tied into the loan. These taxes and fees should be paid upfront anyways, so if you combine that with the 4% of total vehicle cost it should bring you back to 0%. Otherwise you'll be at 0.99%.

Well my saga continues. Tesla is charging me city sales tax even though I am not in the city, claiming tax is based on delivery pickup location. Despite the fact that one year ago I took delivery of a Cyberbeast at exact same location and was not charged that. The difference in sales tax there versus just state/county at my home is $2840.38. That plus seems like bait and switch between the advertised $4999 down to finance at 0% and what they ultimately said I have to put down after completing the application (And I have plenty of $$ BTW) $54,809.65. I told them this is a deal breaker if they can't figure out a way. Between me and my husband, we have bought 3 Teslas over the years and never had to pay city sales tax! Looks like I may be forfeiting that $250 order fee.

Edit: They messaged me back and said starting this month Tesla changed and sales tax is now calculated based on the store's zip code, not the customer's home address. How convenient.

That's how taxes work in Arizona. Other dealerships call it out on their websites.

I get it, it just took me by surprise since all the other vehicles, including my Cyberbeast just purchased last June, did not do it this way. I paid based on my residence address.
Gotcha, I misread the post. They may have been doing title transfers out of state previously, or were doing it wrong and got a big tax bill...

I asked them if they could deliver it to my home: I'm only 20 minutes from the SC. Not holding my breath but worth an ask.

From what I read, it wouldn't help on the tax side. Need to be a nonresident out of state buyer...

I don't find them hard to let go. I've had six from new, starting with #2609, a late 2012 MS. I would not own any Tesla past the warranty period, full stop. I love my Tealas, and will always have one or two in the stable, but they (1) don't season well in my experience, with thing like the MX half shafts never having been solved - hence trade in soon after the last set (#4) were replaced and just before the warranty expired, (2) lose value akin to an iphone, with commensurate obsolescence - who owns a ten-year-old iphone? - no one , and (3) the hardware/firmware tech updates come fairly regularly, so those of us with HW 4 are about to be orphaned by the recently disclosed HW 5 - if you really want FSD, you gotta keep up. A four year old Tesla is rightly lower value relative to other cars of the same vintage. It isn't a nefarious plan for obsolescence - just the reality of a rapid tech advancement cycle. And no, we are orphaned, soup Nazi says "no hardware updates for you!"

The only thing on the list of additional things that wasn't on my Cyberbeast from back in may was the Wall Charger unit (I just bought it myself). That free supercharging is GREAT! I've used it 0 times sense I bought it! :).

(I'm sure that sarcasm will go away after taking a road trip with it.)
