Thank you! I like a definitive answer, regardless of what it is.

If @/NX-01Cybertruck’s solution doesn’t work, you can change the gateway configuration using Tesla toolbox (and change it back after).

Use the Tesla app: Service > Service Request > Software > Software update. Request "missing Cybertruck horn upgrade (Nov 2024 super horn / CTH1)". LMK the result.

Very possible, i can’t respond in the subreddit, because I’m not going through all that to verify.
OK. You may not be then because that person has responded to me over there.

However, what you need to understand is that you are in a very unique predicament. There really cannot be more than a handful of people in the world in your situation, because only a very limited number of trucks were produced with the old horn. Sometime in early November 2024, trucks started shipping with the Super Horn enabled and without the old air horn.

So, the total population of trucks in your predicament is very small: those of us who decided to keep the original horn because the change is not reversible, and then sold our Foundation Series truck. I do not know how many have changed hands, but it cannot be many.

All of that is to say: the service center is probably not going to know what you are talking about. You are going to have to walk them through exactly what you need, and you are going to have to use their nomenclature. You will also almost certainly need to speak to a manager. The key is to outline the entire history succinctly and cogently.

You have a Foundation Series CT that was shipped prior to October/November 2024. You are not the original owner, and the original owner chose not to upgrade the horn.

You need Tesla to push the link to your Tesla app, or otherwise give you access to it, so that your firmware can be flashed to enable the Super Horn.

Any front-line employee speaking to you through the app is highly unlikely to be aware of the facts surrounding this issue. So: (1) I would not be frustrated with them, because they simply do not know; and (2) you should not stop with them. There is supposed to be a way to escalate matters to management via the app. I think you mentioned that, but you are going to need to do it. You will need to be persistent and precise in explaining your predicament.

I am one of the few people who absolutely refuses to “upgrade” my horn. I simply do not see it as an improvement, and keeping the original horn makes my truck rarer. But if you want the Super Horn enabled, be persistent and you should be able to get it done.

Thanks. My PAWD 2025 has different horn! Never used it till today, testing.
It sounds wired but different from the “fire engine “ sound. I couldn’t attach the sound clip to the post😴
