Didn’t feel like dealing with FSD being degraded by bikes on the hitch rack. In addition to the two bikes, vault has a 6.5 FT whitewater kayak, inflatable kayak (Kokopelli packraft), Cybertent, camping gear (kitchen box, dry food box, 55 quart cooler, firepan, large 3-burner stove), bike tool case… lots of fun was had by dad and daughter.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is how you use a Cybertruck.

Bring on the Lake! Haha. Ran into our doppelgänger as well! We’ve seen him around town but this time we were both launching jet skis at Lake Tahoe together! Same Mars Adventure Gear Racks, American Flag and Starlink Mini. Only difference was his Aeroblade tent. 😂 After the two of us pulled in, there were two Rivians next in line that were dropping 4 jet skis also. What are the chances of 4 EV’s at a Tahoe boat launch at the same time. Haha

My bike/rack doesn't affect my FSD at all. I will sometimes get a message that FSD isn't available because the rear camera is blocked, but FSD keeps working just fine.

I just meant…lots of toys. Sounds like a sweet trip. No commentary on bike rack function of FSD.

And how did testing go? You gonna let humans fly next or will the monkey trials continue?

Second question...whoosh

First-
I would say better than expected. Was able to use FSD on empty trailer but once heavy load was detected I had to switch to auto steer to use traffic aware cruise control.

We had double high 2"x8" across the front of the trailer to start but it was chewing through range at 854 wh/mi after we removed them it dropped to 5-600 wh/mi at 75mph. On the return trip the loaded trailer had less drag and we followed the trucks recommended speed keeping it around 58-65mph depending on speed limit averaging 500 wh/mi.

So as expected reducing speed was the biggest impact?
Was just kidding about the monkey trials. I’m glad there are people like you sharing your data with the rest of us.

Speed and aerodynamics had largest impact on range. We make this trip often without a trailer. Adding the trailer added 1-2 hours extra time with slowing down and more charging stops.

Some random pictures from a random ride I did somewhat local in CA.
Freeway stretches riding on FSD, fun road stretches driving myself.
Total 386 miles, home to home in 12.5 hours.

(yes, since my wife asked also, do have a few nature pictures without the CT in it. But those looks just a little less nice.)

Man, in that last shot I can almost smell the air and feel the stress leaving my body.

For the numbers nerds:
Total round trip was 386 miles; 275 on FSD (71%), 111 myself (29%)
kWh for driving (as the truck reports) 132, for 341Wh/mile
