The under bed storage sounds like trying to match competitors features; even if CT has les usability. Honda Ridgeline has it. A neighbor showed me his. He thought it would be great for ice with drinks when tailgating.
Antidotally, I've heard it's bad to try to tow a trailer that's heavier then the tow vehicle. I understand that with trailer brakes maybe this is not that critical. But if those brakes fail, stopping could be compromised by the tire friction on the tow vehicle.
If you follow this idea. perhaps...
Now that we start seeing more club members with Trucks next year, The idea of group Road Trips sounds pretty cool. Can you imagine what other vehicles would think after seek a convoy of say a dozen CT's passing by?
One thought I had as to why the rounds are mostly into the Door panels. It would be easy to replace the doors on this specific vehicle. so why damage the rest of the truck...
I noticed TSLA Stock priced dropped pretty heavy today. This was before the Investor call. I wonder if stock prices will drop even further. Things that investors don't like to hear are things like new product is not going to be profitable for 12-18 months...
You are correct that a Bridge Truss involves typically dozens of links. CT is like a large Triangle (3-Piece Truss). But the reason Bridges have so many links is that those in Compression can buckle if they are too slender compared to their length. So the extra links prevent that. CT is quite...
From my point of view, what's amazing about the Structural Design of CT is that it's NOT Bed on Frame. Look at a bridge over water. it's a truss, that leverages the tall size of the structure to handle more bending stress with less materials.
Look at a conventional Pickup, right where the bed...
Not knowing much about how the latest FSD works, wouldn't a bouncing vehicle cause serious problems for the sensors? With pavement the relationship between the sensor and the Road doesn't change much.
I just saw this about a way to make Rock Crawling with an EV easier. Ideas on if it could be adapted to CT?

My understanding is the Stainless to be used is a 30X grade, which is known as Austenitic. Austenitic grade generally are not Magnetic. But what's interesting is that if you work harden it enough, you develop more Martensite, and make it stronger. With enough work hardening, it could become...
My sons do a lot of Rock Crawling. Their vehicles of choice have always been small older Toyota trucks/Forerunners or Suzuki Samurais. Has to to with a solid front axle, I'm told. But most of them install Lockers, both Front and Rear, in order to perform. These are Air actuated mechanisms that...
For Off-Roading, I wouldn't mind "Rock Crawler" mode. My boys do that a lot. Pretty intense being a passenger! Not only would you want to raise the suspension; but Cameras would be a game changer. Typically when doing a difficult section, other drivers would be outside there rigs offering...
The Recession is going to be REAL. But I think Tesla has that figured in. The unknown is will demand drop due to households being financially squeezed. I'm in a position to weather most of the doomsday scenarios. And if my gloomy predictions come to pass, at least it may make my delivery happen...
