I get it. I didn't think, at the time, about how tough it would be to go below $100/share. I've simplified into two different price points; both below todays close. I'll give it a few days to see what happens. I appreciate the ideas bandied about in this thread. At the end of the day it's on me...
I set up some limit Buys today. But (as usual) I was too late in the day to hit a low enough Dip, for anything to execute. Maybe I'll just be cash rich for a while...
I'm planning to buy TSLA for the first time, probably early next week. I want to set the buy as a limit order. Looking at $108 or so. Not sure if I should set it lower (to buy more shares). I'll hold at least 3 years.
Okay, tell me I'm being foolish.....
I saw this report about the owner of a Model S being unable to charge in 19 degree temperatures. Anyone here have better information on what was likely going on? here is the article I read: "https://truthpress.com/news/tesla-owner-stranded-on-christmas-eve-after-cold-weather-paralyzes-battery/"
The fear in some of those that harass EV's is palpable. I get the sense that many fear that if EV's become mainstream, they will no longer be able to buy the ICE vehicle of their choice. Obviously that's not going to happen no matter what our current Administration says.
My attitude is you buy...
I too think the rollout will be closer to the M3. The MY caries the many of the same parts as M3 (75%, per https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-y-vs-model-3-differences/). Whereas the CT is radically different than any other existing Tesla.
This makes total sense. Imagine where Tesla will be sitting when that cathode plant comes online. There should likely be another building for Batteries, using the cathodes from the plant that's getting started to be built. Let's hope Elon bought enough land. because any adjacent properties will...
I can hold off a few more years for an EV. We are a 2 Prius household. And my wife's a 2010 with 87k miles. But after I get CT, she isn't likely to drive it. She is going to get a MY. But since we still need to get our garage built, she is not ordering one (yet).
So there's two reasons to hate...
I"m not sure why they require the two meters. I"ve seen this on every new solar panel install, in our county. I believe on is total power used from grid, while other measures what you send into the grid. They no longer pay for excess solar output. Instead they track the output to offset your...
Understood about the Bonding Jumper. Ground rods will be at the new garage, so they should not have multiple paths to ground. New Ground wire for house panel will run in conduit to ground at Service entrance.
There are two more considerations I need to figure out.
1) I can't find breakers...
Meter is on the house. But lines come from a pole at street, to a pole on our property not far from the site for now garage, to mast 2/3 up 2-story house. There's enough wire length between our pole and house, to reach new garage.
We are likely going to do solar on the garage. That will...
I am currently designing for to build a Garage at my house. Like the OP, I am trying to figure out how best to future proof my build for EV charging. I think my setup will be simpler; but not sure. The 200Amp main panel is in my house. The new garage will be closer to the road. My plan is to...
I'm surprised your neighbor doesn't just sign a durable power of attorney. They are used all the time in home buying. In fact the escrow companies will create the documents for home purchases. They are specific to the purchase (or sale).
My take on Ford's experiment with Electric trucks is simple: They are excited because the are likely have enough orders to sell what they will be producing. BUT they don't care that the number they produce is just a drop in the bucket. So it's about making some money (hopefully for there sake)...
As a Ham myself, I've mounted UHF/VHF antennas on a couple of Prius'. But that was likely much easier than CT will be. For the Prius, All I had to do is add an "L" shaped plate where the Struts for the rear Hatch attach. Then the coax ran down the gutter, and entered through the seal at the...
Nope. When I drive from Seattle to Arizona, I plan out where I will gas up. I research enough to find an ARCO or Costco gas. It's not that difficult to do. And I'm only using Google Maps...
