Nice! Look at that view from inside with the all glass roof, it's beautiful.
And impressive strength shown by the vault cover. Elon is a big guy - about 6'2" and 200+ pounds.
Surprised that they haven't spoken until recently. But now that they have and considering situation with Fremont reopning, I think it's Cybertruck Giga Factory in Texas pretty much foregone conclusion.
Interesting read on what Brutalism is, I've always just glossed over that description of the Cybertruck. I wonder if Tesla set out to give the Cybertruck a Brutalist design or it just came to be because they wanted to create a shape that was easiest to manufacture with stainless steel.
Thanks for the heads up. Surprised they're not featuring something more interesting for the season premiere than a vintage pickup truck.... oh maybe like a futuristic electric utility vehicle of the future. ;)
I was able to zoom into the cabin and position myself as driver and also as passengers. Reminded me how cool that steering wheel is which will unfortunately be changed for production. Wonder if we'll be getting a parts bin Tesla steering wheel from the other models or if it'll be something more...
That was fun! Great job with the 3D engine, it runs smooth and even worked on my phone.
Had to upload a plaid pattern of course for Plaid Mode :D And suspension lowered for maximum acceleration.
Suspension height will surely be adjustable, may be not be independently configurable between front and rear. Instead, the setting might just lift or lower the entire truck by the same height.
This whole time I've been wondering exactly why the glass broke, but saw this explanation by Musk today, even though it was posted several months back. Hopefully helpful for anyone else that didn't know the reason... it was because Franz hit the door with sledgehammer, which cracked the window...
Exactly. Musk didn't even say how much more the truck would be leveled. It could be 0.1 degrees for all we know. The Cybertruck is Musks' pet project and baby, I have confidence he's not going to make its design worse than the concept. Here's an image from the other thread by @CT4FP...
He said center line, which doesn’t necessarily mean belt line. You can still level off the center line of the vehicle without changing the angle of the belt line. One has to do with engineering and the other is a design element.
What ever happened to the Cybertruck being featured on Jay Leno Garage? I think I've hit the end of the internet during isolation and now would be a great time to see a Cybertruck episode drop.
