I think I'll order a Beast when my number comes up (112836XXX) just to delay things so that I can get better batteries. This should give the CB more range than the current AWD, so that takes...
Like many of us, I'm preparing for the invitation to buy email. If it comes, I'll grab a Foundation series because I'm tired of waiting. As I understand it, the only advantages the Beast has over the AWD is the quicker acceleration and the torque vectoring. The downsides are the lesser range and...
Thanks for the heads up @ModelAZ. I visited today and it's BEAUTIFUL! The receptionist there said that they have had "several" local people who have received the purchase email. So we're geographic candidates here.
Great News! What are the first five digits of your reservation number? Mine are 11283. Cincinnati.
Ready to pull the trigger as soon as I get the offer.
No but I'd give up 4" of ground clearance if you added a stack on the bottom.
13" of clearance is plenty for me to get over speed bumps. That and driving across the lawn to drop a bag of mulch is as rugged as I get. Probably par for the course for Grand Cherokee drivers.
Light bar hookup will be convenient for law enforcement vehicles.
The CT seems to be the perfect USA police vehicle. Quick acceleration, comfortable, lots of lockable storage, American made, and enough of range for normal patrol days/nights, I think. How many miles do the police put on a car...
Yep and that's why I read every bit of @HaulingAss' detailed posts (and @cvalue13 and @JBee ). They saved me some money last month and have provided copious entertainment and enlightenment. Plus I learn new words from time to time, like rehomogolation.
If you're not interested, just...
(Bold added)
These bring up the question of the safety of the range extender (RE) in a crash. From what I gather from comments here, the truck is not crash tested with the pack. That's a lot of weight sitting behind the cab that would have huge inertia. I doubt that the partition between the...
Thanks @JBee and @scottf200!
You guys are amazing.
Is this 90 kWh the capacity of the regular batter or battery with extender?
I downloaded my monthly energy consumption and did the math. I'm embarrassed to share how much energy I'm using.
I think that would be much simpler than the usual...
An added value for me is that Cybertruck will provide power to the house. According to the video, it will deliver 11.5 KW, 110 amps inrush current capability. I'm assuming that is equivalent to having 110 amp electric service to the home.
A Generac 10 KW natural gas backup generator with...
YESSSS! That's big news to be printed in lower case. :giggle: Ya Know, there's a service center right here in Cincinnati. Perfect place to launch the CT to get the reaction of the Midwest USA folks. Maybe our KFM can put in a good word...
LOL I own this exact vehicle with a lift gate on the back. Very handy to have around.
That's why I'm OK losing 2' of bed space to the range extender. As long as the CT can carry as much as my old Grand Cherokee that it's replacing it's fine with me. Big stuff will go in the Sprinter.
Did they announce the 1,000 number? A knowledgeable forum member mentioned that but I haven't seen it from Tesla. I could be wrong about that, I have plenty of practice.
