I think that 'dent' is a manufacturing artifact. My truck (20K VIN beast) has a slight ripple like that on both sides. I've seen it on other trucks as well. I don't know if it's from the original forming, or part of the assembly process, or what. But it's not just you.

Fife service center did a terrible job on my cantrails when they did the recall. But, after complaining with pictures in the app, they had me come back in and they're now better than they were originally. I think it depends on the technician you get.
