2008: The Blackberry was king with their keyboard, but I can't believe how they squandered their lead with Nokia coming out with a phone with a keyboard. Yeah, regardless that they don't run apps like the iPhone (it's so unimportant most reviewers don't even mention it), I'm sure they'll add...
As someone who uses AI and have been on this journey for over 8 years (even before Tesla ownership...barely), I can personally tell you that xAI will NOT be a burden to SpaceX. It will be an asset!
AI is exactly what Elon has described it as: a hypersonic tsunami.
There was a step change in...
Let's not jump to the Dan conclusion. I think it was just a habit and they didn't realize what happened. Let's give @ActiveArch the benefit of the doubt!
I could be wrong, but when I look at my Dashcam footage, the accelerator pedal is never "lit" or showing anything when FSD is driving. It only shows something when I press it.
Therefore, it looks like you might have inadvertently been pushing the accelerator pedal and forcing it to drive...
FYI. this a point point release (i.e. x.x.4), so REALLY small changes.
I expect big navigation improvements on the next point release (i.e. 14.3 or 14.4) along with improved parking spot selection.
Just honk afterwards next time (assuming you have the setting set to save video on honk). It'll save the moment and typically a LOT of time before it too (i.e. 15 minutes at least, may be from the start of the drive).
@CyberSav, it sounds like you just got one that was below average in quality. It happens to all manufacturers their first year.
I really hope you come back here and report on here how it's going. I can't imagine going back to pushing a start button and "routine maintenance" dealership visits...
Tesla has been working on dry cathodes for a long time, and recently got it working. I think that explains the reduction of the South Korean nickel cathode material better than they're going to stop ALL 4680 production. Also, there have been plenty of articles that they would start making them...
@vandytom, would you please take a picture? No idea where and what you're describing.
BTW, if Vandy in Vandytom is for Vanderbilt, my wife went there! Them playing in a New Year's Eve Bowl game, in Tampa to boot, should be great!
@Sjohnson20, I'm an earlier VIN be a few hundred and have had no issues. Where are you located in Florida? If close, we could compare results in the same location. Actually, have you tried anyone else's Starlink Mini? It could be some slight issue with yours that causes it to work most times...
Wow, quite a lot of posts on this thread!
Appreciating Asset
If you ever want to see what an appreciating asset looks like that typically isn't, look no further than COVID! There were TONS of examples of people getting what they paid for their cars...3 YEARS EARLIER, when they were new...
FSD is the elephant in the room. My Cybertruck is driving me everywhere, and once unsupervised self driving happens, they'll sell every Tesla they make! And resale value will soar (like Elon predicted, albeit way early).
@Lenny 1973, also, see this post by Chuck Cook:
I just finished a three day trip as a Captain on the Airbus A321, including an overnight in Austin the same day Robotaxi was spotted testing driverless. My last day was after seven hours of flight time landing in Orlando around 11 PM, and I...
That sounds like it should easily do that range, but I'd definitely test it if possible. As you know, the slower you go, the more range you get. Also, and I know I sound like a broken record, but there's something magically and therapeutic with not touching the steering wheel or pedals at all. I...
