My plan was to keep AS on my Lightning and keep the CT with AT. Looking at the Goodyear tires in 285/65 r20 sizes I might switch to a Michelin LTX Platinum because they will probably weigh less but they’re close to $500 a tire.
I don’t qualify for that rebate either but will for the $7500 ccv. I went awd because I’m good with a little more range and I’m fine with the comparable acceleration to my Lightning. Tires start to add up when you’re enjoying 0-60 in around ~4 secs ;)
I’m about 6 months from buying my second...
Exactly what I do. I charge when I’m home daily. I only drive 80-100 miles a day and 48amp is enough. I have a Ford Charge Station Pro but it’s still in the box because the 48a I use for a plug-in hybrid works fine for my Lightning.
That I’m not sure of! Seeing the upper control arms has me a little hesitant compared to the HOSS 3.0 suspension on my Bronco but that’s not a fair comparison. The CT air suspension compared to the 4 independent suspension of the Lightning, I think CT will be better.
I’ve always wanted a Tesla but a car isn’t as useful for me. Since the unveiling of the CT I went ahead and installed solar and batteries for my home. In waiting for the CT, I was able to take one of the earlier deliveries of a Lightning. I figure I can see which I like better and which suits my...
Meaning the CT has a smaller battery and has been driven with AT tires.
My Lightning has an EPA range of 300 miles. It runs on AS tires and around 131 kw battery. I rarely drive to zero or charge to 100%. Real world I probably range from 230-260 miles.
It’s close or better to the range of my Lightning but with a smaller battery and AT tires. Sounds pretty good to me. Still anxiously awaiting to get my VIN. Not deterred in anyway about the “real world” ranges. I’ve never reached EPA ranges in any vehicles I’ve owned and wouldn’t expect to in a CT.
I remember getting incredible numbers when I first started driving my Lightning around. Some 30-40 mile drives were returning 8.8 miles/kwh. Definitely not realistic like the 1.2-1.9 miles/kwh I get consistently. I’m thinking in a CT with AT tires the range could be closer to 240-280 miles. As...
It appears you are confused with placing a reservation and being invited to order a Foundation Series. People that have put 12/20 or 12/22 were invited to order not that they placed a reservation then. They more than likely placed their reservations in 11/2019.
Those apply for used vehicles.
If you’re buying a new CT here’s info:

If you title the vehicle in TX you’ll pay sales tax for Texas. If you live in another state, you won’t pay Texas sales if you title the vehicle in the state you live in.
Might look at the clean commercial tax credit too, it’s $7500. I went with the awd even though it’s less of a write off because I don’t want to be buying tires twice a year with the kind of acceleration in the beast ;)
ABC of ev driving for me..always be charging.
I have yet to fill my bed so full that I’ve needed a trailer for roadtrips. Have taken 500 mile trips to San Antonio and west Texas around Lubbock only has fast charging at Tesla Superchargers. Driving every hour or two works for me for stopping...
I’m in the same boat. I’m looking forward to the charging while traveling compared to charging my Lightning. The Cybertruck is about the width as an F150 but is 9in shorter. I’m guessing that is to help buyers who have never owned a full sized truck to park in their garage. It’s never been a...
