Update two: Tesla diagnosed the new issue to be a communication problem within the HV system. They decided it needed a new backbone harness and device cluster assembly which is being installed today. Assuming everything goes as planned they are supposed to be done by the end of the day. I...
I got the truck back on Thursday 4/23. 18 days after I dropped it off at the service center. But that’s not the last of this sad saga. The next morning after running an errand and then coming home and plugging the truck in there was a strange grinding noise coming from behind the charge port. I...
Update on my situation. Dropped off truck on 4/6. Awaiting parts until 4/18. Now “preparing”. I guess they got the PCS parts in. Supposed completion date now 4/24. Drove by the service center yesterday evening. Truck in parking lot with about 12 other trucks. At least it isn’t lonely.
I charge nightly at home off a 30amp dryer plug using a Tesla mobile charger. I pull 32amps when charging. PCS failed at 29k miles. Oct 2024 build. NonFS AWD 41xxx VIN. I think I’ve charged 3 times on 48amps, all at hotel destination chargers. So it’s not a 48amp thing for me at least.
They just gave me a Model X for the PCS job they are waiting on parts to install. Last time they had the truck for they gave me an X Plaid. Wild acceleration…all the way up to 85mph. 🤪
Add me to the list of Cybertrucks with the PCS failure. Was AC charging from 61% to 100% in anticipation of a trip down to Starbase City tomorrow. Charging stopped at 83%. PCS failure. AC charging not available. Never dropped to 24A though. Oct 2024 AWD NonFS. 28900k miles. 41XXX VIN.
I did...
There should be a way to manually adjust the speed limit indicated. I just came back from a 3000+ mile roadtrip and was fighting the issue the whole way. I run Waze to look for wrecks/cops so I am sure about the speed limits and how often Tesla gets it wrong. Needing to put FSD in Mad Max just...
One of mine did as well. Took it off. Center section with metal ring had broken off and was in pieces. Made a service claim. Replaced for free on a warranty claim.
It’s fits below the track in the bed. My ultimate goal is to have the cyber tent plus 15kw of battery and 1200w of solar panels all tucked in the vault under the cyber tent when open.
I run this PECRON. 3600w LFP. Expandable to 15kw. Has. 30a/240v RV plug. Can accept up to 2400w (2x1200) of solar. I’m buying the expansion batteries and another solar panel on Black Friday. It qualifies for the solar tax credit that goes away end of the year...
All depends on your use case. That Predator is almost 275lbs. I’m not getting that in the bed of the cybertruck. So it’s not an emergency solution for me. Neither is it a solution for getting some energy while camping in a place that has no power. It’s is very good at charging quickly at home or...
This is my charging cable/attachment setup. From Left to Right:
A2Z Cybertruck CCS to NACS adapter.
EVJECT breakaway adapter.
TESLA J1772 to NACS adapter.
Various 14-50 to different 30A adapters.
Grounding plug for generator.
30A to Tesla wall charger plugs.
Tesla 30A,15A, 50A wall...
Correct. I use the standard TESLA portable charger that you get from them. You’ll need a 30A head as the charger only comes with a 50A and a 15A.
The ground plug:

Sorry. No pictures. If I have time I can try and set it up. It works quite well. 3 Kw/H isn’t fast but...
This is the one I road trip with. You’ll need the grounding plug everyone mentions. It’ll pump 3kw/H on propane into the truck. A 20gal can of propane will last about 15 hours. So 45 kWh. 120 miles of range depending on your speed. I like it because it’s light enough I can lift it into the vault...
After I caught a un-patchable puncture in one of my A/S Pirelli’s (at 7k miles), I decided on Firestone Destination X/T’s. 3 Peak rated and 4.0 (out of 5) on Discount Tires EV efficiency rating system. So far I like them. Not too loud. Rides well (based on a 3k mile road trip right after...
