There has been some talk about a heat rejecting film such as nano ceramic causing issues (cracks) to the chemically treated roof glass, especially when it is double paned. My installer even mentioned this and that you don’t want to go to dark with it because of it.

Has anyone had problems with cracking after tinting roof glass and confirmed that the tint caused the issue? I have ceramic on all glass except the roof and am taking a lot of heat through the roof. I would love to have it tinted as well but have been holding off because of rumors I’ve seen here...

When you did the deep clean did you have to be careful about the plastic trim or is the BKF friendly to it? I have been considering doing the BKF or CitriSurf 77 treatment but am worried about discoloring the trim.

That is due to off gassing from all of the new vinyl in the truck. It will happen for a bit when new but after a couple of good cleans after it’s done off gassing it will be good to go.

The truck is stunning. The lack of windshield tint bothers me.

I am talking about ceramic tint above. I wouldn’t waste my time with anything else. I don’t have the same concern as others as far as driving at night. I have 20% Crystalline all the way around on my Model 3 and it doesn’t bother me at all. I guess it’s different for everyone.
