The legacy automakers are awash in red ink and part of that is because more people are having to let cars go back because inflation has eaten away their ability to pay recurring bills.
According to several finance gurus I follow this is only going to get worse in 2023 and probably 2024.
Higher...
I recently went to an EV event and saw a Rivian and a Ford Lighting.
Both are decent looking trucks. I didn't get to ride in either one so I can't speak about ride or performance.
The Lighting might, and this is a BIG might, keep Ford from ending up on the ash heap of bankrupt car companies if...
I only own Tesla stock.
I'm buying with every spare cent.
Bargain of the century.
I picked up five this month and will prob pick up five more when my welfare check comes in on the 28th.
If I sell a dump truck and two fire trucks I'll put at least half the proceeds in Tesla.
Those Grandkids gonna...
I think Commercial trucks are restricted to 55 MPH in the whole state of California. That would make it a real world test.
I ran West Coast in a Commercial Vehicle back in the late 70's and early 80's. Prob the best place to test the Semi under real world conditions.
My CT will be my daily driver and a farm truck when it makes more sense to use it rather than the 2022 RAM 3500 (Diesel Pig).
I can't wait to drive it to the feed store and load a couple of pallets of feed on it.
It will also make an occasional appearance at the local drag strip (especially when...
My plan has always been to sell stock if necessary to make a big enough down payment to make the monthly payment tolerable.
I accidently got a job so maybe I won't have to sell any stock by the time they build mine (prob late 2024).
This has the potential to make Tesla billions.
If there had been an electric equivalent to the RAM 3500 I bought last year it would be sitting in the yard right now.
Our biggest load might be a 28 foot gooseneck loaded with round bales or a stock trailer with some critters in it.
Very seldom...
I reserved the 69k version which at the time was a three motor 4WD.
I do not expect to get a CT for this price but I would go up to 75-80K to get one.
We paid 73K for the Diesel Pig last year to replace our aging Diesel Pig so sticker shock is not an issue with me.
I assume (hope) that when it...
My experience with bed liners (the semi-permanent ones often installed as a dealer option) is that they make a bed rust twice as fast.
Since the CT is made of stainless that should not be a problem but crud could accumulate under it.
If I wanted a thick and heavy mat for the bottom of the bed...
Is this a true Tesla project or are they granting a license for some other entity to use the name?
It is marketing genius no matter which.
I can envision "Cruise Ins" where all models of Teslas make a loop between this spot and other locations.
One of my favorite things to do in the days of my...
My reservation number is in the mid 400K range.
I don't foresee getting mine until 2024 or 25.
More time to save up for the down payment on that sticker shock final price.o_O
I'm no MENSA member but I can do basic math.
Ford could be selling their vehicles for 100K and will still lose money until production is fully ramped up (at plants that haven't been built) and there is enough demand to keep them rolling off the line.
As they are ramping up EV's they will be...
