Mine was a replacement for a rejected VIN and I asked them to expedite the replacement given the circumstances around the rejection. I also suspect we’re pretty quick for deliveries given it’s the same route used to get to Southern California.
Sounds like they handled it very professionally. You don’t want a brand new car that needed invasive repairs. Hopefully they’ll get you a new one soon!
I’ll try to spot it tomorrow when it gets unloaded from the truck and let y’all know. I saw a few other 50XXX VINs on the lot and they all had early Nov build dates. There is some randomness and variability to it or some factor we’re not privy to.
It’s on a giant sticker on the windshield when the car gets delivered. You have to get to it before they remove it. I believe the next best place is printed on the inside of the door, but it just has month/year, not day/mont/year.
Thanks. I had a moment of doubt thinking I was being pedantic. Then yesterday there was a post of someone’s airbag harness getting cut during a minor door rattle NVH repair, so I’m feeling pretty good about my decision. I don’t want the service team doing a rushed job at reassembling the door...
Quick update. I found my previous VIN on their lot. The fact anyone called this a “scratch” is wild. There are 3 gouges in the driver’s side passenger door panel about 3/8” long each, deep enough to get your fingernail in a little bit. These are not being sanded/polished out. They should have...
Yes.
I have not seen the vehicle or been provided a specific description of the extent of the damage and why it needed parts ordered, just a vague explanation that it was worse than what they originally described to me. I had the VIN formally removed from my account this AM after standing my...
I’d agree that Tesla Service is overall good. Even when I’ve had issues, they’ve been immediately apologetic and willing to make it right. Sometimes it takes a while to get there, but we get there. And they don’t gouge on parts which is awesome.
The delivery/pre-delivery teams are another...
You’re not wrong. Every experience is worse than the one before it. Was treated so nicely for our first Model 3s and exceptionally great for our first 2017 X. So/so for 1 model Y and second X. Absolutely absurdly bad for another model Y, the 3rd X, and CT.
The bad experiences have all been...
They rescheduled my delivery 30 minutes before the original appointment time. I didn’t think it was unreasonable to set up insurance that morning after the assurances provided the night before, but point taken! That’s a valuable lesson for next time.
Wanted to share my story here. This is my 4th delivery over the years at Tesla Mesa AZ and each experience is worse than the last. I've shared some other comically bad stories later in the thread, but this one is the worst.
Tl;dr First delivery appointment: truck damaged in transit, endless...
Had RN115 but canceled for the referral credit and reordered 10/25 RN123. Located in AZ. AWD, core wheels, white interior. Got vin today 11/7 2024 model year 49XXX. No delivery ETA. Local delivery center suggested ~2 weeks, but this isn’t my first Tesla so I’m well accustomed to the bad...
