Did you officially reject your assigned Cybertruck?
Yes.

I have not seen the vehicle or been provided a specific description of the extent of the damage and why it needed parts ordered, just a vague explanation that it was worse than what they originally described to me. I had the VIN formally removed from my account this AM after standing my ground that I’m not accepting a new vehicle that was previously repaired. According to the delivery manager, they intend to sell the vehicle in new condition again once the issue has been “rectified”. To me, this is one thing for recalls, but unacceptable for something damaged in transit. They actually had to do something in the system to avoid me being matched to the same VIN because it’s technically still available.

Their customer service is getting worse and worse as demand goes up. Once companies like Lucid catch up on the technology, Tesla’s gonna be in trouble.
If they catch up. That's the key word.

Quick update. I found my previous VIN on their lot. The fact anyone called this a “scratch” is wild. There are 3 gouges in the driver’s side passenger door panel about 3/8” long each, deep enough to get your fingernail in a little bit. These are not being sanded/polished out. They should have called off the delivery the second they saw this.

Good call! Exactly what I would have done.

Thanks. I had a moment of doubt thinking I was being pedantic. Then yesterday there was a post of someone’s airbag harness getting cut during a minor door rattle NVH repair, so I’m feeling pretty good about my decision. I don’t want the service team doing a rushed job at reassembling the door. In fact I brought my Model X there a week ago for some suspension work and they put the staggered wheels back on in the incorrect positions, causing the now oversized front tires which would normally be placed in the back to grind against the control arms during sharp turns. They mean well, but they're rushing and making trivial errors.
