  1. Delivery Day and First Impressions

Do you mind sharing your insurance premium with Tesla insurance in California? Thanks.
  2. Cybertruck doesn't quite fit in my standard garage. Yours?

My garage depth is 224.5ā€, 225ā€ if I remove the drywall. I have space behind it to expand but then there’s the cost and hassle of construction. When CT was originally unveiled it was obviously too long, but now it technically would fit but it’s probably ridiculously tight. I guess I have to...
  3. Cybertruck doesn't quite fit in my standard garage. Yours?

19.5’ would give you about 10ā€ to spare between front and back. The picture looks like less clearance than 10ā€. Do you mean 18.5’?
  4. Cybertruck doesn't quite fit in my standard garage. Yours?

My garage is about like that. What’s the measurement of your garage depth? Is it difficult to get the front bumper that close without hitting?
  5. Cybertruck doesn't quite fit in my standard garage. Yours?

My garage is shorter than average creating just over 1ā€ to spare for the CT, which I don’t actually have yet, but this could be a deciding factor. This would typically be impossible to accommodate, but with the front camera I’m thinking I can maybe reliably get it to 1ā€ in front without hitting...
  6. Early delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck now available to long-term verified TSLA shareholder!

From the Model Y order page - notice the word ā€˜options’ ā€˜Software options are excluded from the federal tax credit price cap’
  7. Early delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck now available to long-term verified TSLA shareholder!

I hope you’re right but I’m not convinced you are. The only time fsd has ever been mandatory is with FS CT and we know that doesn’t qualify for the credit, at least in part because of its price. I think Tesla selling a car that costs $87-$92k and then telling the IRS that it’s actually sub...
  8. Early delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck now available to long-term verified TSLA shareholder!

That’s not my understanding. If they make fsd mandatory it’s part of the purchase price and goes over the $80k limit. If they make it optional, then it’s exempt from the limit. As I said, all they have to do is prioritize delivery for fsd purchasers and they get all that margin upfront. And...
  9. Early delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck now available to long-term verified TSLA shareholder!

FSD is excluded from the tax credit limit but obviously it has to be an optional add-on to get the credit. If they honor the $7k price they will get a very high take rate and can simply deliver the fsd trucks first (which has past precedent) This strategy would create a lot of happy customers...
  10. Early delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck now available to long-term verified TSLA shareholder!

I submitted my shareholder order request when it launched a few days ago but now I don’t need to submit brokerage documents because as of today I’m able to configure (#11274xxx). Unfortunately I’m simply not rich enough to afford the Foundation series. The base AWD will work for me assuming...
  11. Early delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck now available to long-term verified TSLA shareholder!

What comes with FS instaed if home is already PowerShare ready or if the home doesn’t qualify?
  12. Early delivery of Foundation Series Cybertruck now available to long-term verified TSLA shareholder!

I would easily qualify for this with my early reservation/shares but the problem is I don’t really want a FS because: 1. I’m already PowerShare ready at home. Someone please remind what I get instead? I think it’s free SC miles which are likely far less valuable. 2. I would qualify for a...
  13. Interesting ‘Nextdoor’ forum post

Someone posted this on my local (Bay Area) Nextdoor forum: ā€˜Around 1pm today I saw the strangest car. All black with darkened windows, militaristic looking, the size of a sedan, not an SUV. I wanted to take a photo but I was driving. The headlamps were replaced by a solid horizontal light bar...
  14. Does the Cybertruck fit in your garage?

My garage is 226ā€ long. I think I’m crazy for even considering this purchase but with the front facing camera maybe it’s feasible?? I’d have to test to make sure but the turo rates are outrageous. I could extend the garage back but that’s not cheap either.
  15. Tesla of Dublin CA has 16 Cybertrucks (still)!

I asked the mobile tire repair guy from Tesla Dublin about CT ~two weeks ago. He said there’s ā€˜about 20’ there and a company recall to loosen control arms (?) because customers were complaining about the ride being too stiff. Makes some sense i guess but I don’t know if it’s still an issue or...
