using a smoke wand doesn't give you the whole picture. it shows a tiny area's impact but a lot of the drag is what is happening feet away from the body.
I might remove my mirrors but I would expect the drag reduction to be such a small reduction as to be invisible.
the certified installer bit is understandable but unsatisfactory policy.
It looks (from the youtube) like any electrical contractor could install the setup. But by god it is only an inch away from some dude making ashes of himself when a DIY-er tries it.
I agree on making the video show bigger and brighter. I’ll often lean and check my side view mirror to actually understand how far someone is behind me and gauge their speed before lane change.
exactly! a bigger rear view would be appreciated
I ordered a black vinyl with a small pebble finish, with a self-adhesive back. cut it to fit and have only admired my work ever since. Ok, not a perfect job but what happens behind the screen is never seen
I'd agree that the console is oddly designed. But a bench seat would require a center harness which would be very difficult to engineer without a thick roof structure which Is currently glass.
I'd like to have an aluminum shoebox that fits under the tonneau, with fabric sides when the lid is hinged up from the cab end. An extension that lengthens the lid and floor
I ordered some black leather vinyl with a self-stick on the back and it looks and works perfectly.
I was very lucky in that it is a third black color in the mix but they complement each other.
the tesla powerwall is 15K with installation no matter what the configuration from all the correspondence I have had with an instal company. I would have imagined there would be some overlap and savings but they don't beak it down.
