Unfortunately he applied the ProtectaClear incorrectly as he really didn't understand the difference between it and a ceramic. The application process is very different as I posted about here early last month.
I would suggest watching this Training Video that we released that goes through...
Be sure to wait a week to wash the truck to ensure the coating has cured. Any mild soap that does not contain solvents (like alcohol, citrus, or straight up solvent) will be fine. Dawn is an acceptable soap to use. A soft bristle brush or sponge work great, just nothing with a rough bristle, not...
On various other stainless surfaces ProtectaClear protects for 5-10 years, depending on the environmental conditions, but those are not on vehicles that are driving around. The front sections I would expect would need touch up more often (every 1-2 years or so) but the rest should be good for a...
The only problem with that is that when you are using the BKF or any cleaner with acid (which lightens the metal), you have to make sure you get the panels the same color which is easier before you coat. But you can certainly do each of the four sides a day. Here is what it looks like with one...

We ordered a front frunk facia panel for training and we had it in 4 days, so I think you will find parts come out quickly.
I would recommend Andrew with North County Restorations, 760-912-9710. He has many years of experience with stainless steel cleaning and restoration as well as our products.
Here is a picture where we had to remove the ProtectaClear from the front door so Tesla could repair some factory issues, but the rear door and panel is still coated with PC. You can see it is slightly darker. The rear panel is completely cured so this is the final finish.
Correct, ProtectaClear will lock in whatever finish you have, so you have to make sure it looks exactly how you want it before coating.
I wish I could help you with the light areas. Detailers have been struggling to even them out.
