Mine doesn’t do that at all and never has. It’s always been right in the middle of the lane, which leads me to believe it’s a camera alignment issue. Not calibration, but actual alignment.
They do this when they find something that would require a physical “bring the truck to the shop” recall, and they want to give you the recall before you get the truck. It saves both you and the dealership time. The last one I remember is when there was a bad batch of wiper motors.
I got FSD 13.2.8 in 2024.45.32.20. My truck never saw 2025.2.8, which I wanted for the washer fluid fix. I wonder if there was something wrong with 2025.2.8 that only effected Cybertrucks, because it came out on a handful of trucks and then stopped.
I was wondering why it seemed like the Cybertruck stopped getting 2025.2.8 - did this start being a problem immediately after people installed that update? If so, that would explain why trucks stopped getting it. And yeah, i was going to say that it looked like the green LED was dead. You...
AWD has mechanical lockers front and rear, and the Beast has mechanical locker in the front and virtual locker in the rear, so both should do really well on the sand. No "brake-induced torque transfer" AWD on the Cybertrucks!
That's what happened to me when I went from 13.2.4 to 13.2.6 - it started going into the wrong lane on 90 degree left turns again. I installed 13.2.7 tonight but haven't had a chance to drive it - will definitely test the left-turn-wrong-lane issue!
I feel like it just flattens out the throttle response at low speeds. My 11yo turns it on whenever it rains and it kind of catches me by surprise because I feel like it goes from a very flat throttle response to the regular crazy-fast acceleration at a certain speed and it's kind of jarring...
My truck has never had the lane hugging issue at all. I had two issues with version 13.2.2 - clipping the apex on left turns, and on some 90 degree left turns onto neighborhood streets with no markings, it would turn left onto the perpendicular road onto the wrong side of the road, so into the...
Funny, I think 13.2.6 is a lot worse than 13.2.4. 13.2.4 was nearly perfect for me, but 13.2.6 regressed significantly on the truck taking left 90 degree turns into the wrong lane of the perpendicular road. In other words, if you're turning left into a neighborhood, even if there were no...
i’m kind of shocked to hear people use the card to unlock and start the truck - i thought it was really just for emergencies. I have a card in my wallet, but my wallet is usually safe in the center console of the truck. LOL. If my phone battery dies, my watch would have charge and vice versa...
Another great suggestion - the fact that it removes the rear-view is exactly why I turned that feature off. Having the side-view repeater slide in from the side to join the rear-view would be perfect.
I think the acceptance criteria for the rear-view camera should be that you can tell if a vehicle behind you is a cop or not at the same distance as looking through the side view cameras. So the dynamic zoom would be an option I would turn on, since 1.25 at least gives you *some* chance to tell...
Why does every set of service instructions start with opening the driver's door and putting down the window? Is that like an indication to other people in the shop that the truck is being worked on, or does it signal something to the truck itself, like don't adjust the air suspension without...
I’d definitely buy the Beast again if mine were totalled. I’m ruined for driving anything else now. The handling, especially the steering, is insane. Going back to regular non-steer-by-wire feels like driving a dump truck. The beast reminds me a lot of the first-gen CTS-V I had, just way faster.
I think the “slippery surface” switch mainly limits the torque from a stop and at very low speeds so the torque doesn’t overwhelm the traction when starting out. I haven’t noticed an impact on regen but I’m pretty conservative with braking the truck when it’s slippery out so I may have just not...
Every single old person who has gotten into my Beast has asked where the OSBs are even though in Entry mode the truck is significantly lower than a typical pickup. If you're old enough to have trouble getting into vehicles, the lack of an oh-shit bar makes it way harder to get into a truck. I...
