Is it possible that CT’s AWD system would be able to accommodate a new tire, so we wouldn’t need to replace all 4 tires when one is damaged? I’ve read about shaving a new tire down to the diameter of the 3 surviving tires, but hope for a technology solution.
I’ve not studied how they come up with their 93% efficiency, but if it is applied after all the inefficiencies of wired charging, then it would, using your number, still be a hit: 0.93 x 0.91 = 0.85. It seems that the only inefficiency they’re avoiding is the actual cable, which is probably not...
I’ve heard that wireless charging is better for small loads like phones where the inefficiency is not much of a cost, but Wiferion claims up to 93% efficient:

Even then, I could imagine many people choosing to spend the equivalent of $93 to charge their Cybertruck...
Have you seen the White Christmas episode of Black Mirror on Netflix? We are getting closer to that nightmare scenario of not even seeing people who have us blocked ?
Is that a combined 6’/250# or each?
I hear about the crime, but I visit regularly, walking around the financial district, Museum of Modern Art, Chinatown, North Beach, Presidio, the Mission, Golden Gate Park, and the Exploratorium on the waterfront. I have yet to see the crime and the filth I...
Thanks, Tweedledee!
(Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, 'if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.)
I was absolutely going to post this after I finished reading the thread ?
As consolation, I know whose brain works like mine for when we’re hanging out at CT rallies ?
I suggest lifestyle for a solar awning, which works in the wilderness, but not in a parking lot. Solar roof or tonneau work for more situations, but still may make little economic sense if you’re mostly at home (mount solar on roof of home) or work where charging is free (mount solar on roof of...
So greggertruck was agreeing with cvalue13’s last diagram of the frunk in blue. That is a shallow frunk, stopping before the front edge of the windshield.
Would someone with more precise chickens estimate how that volume compares with the frunk on a M3 or MY? It looks small, but CT is big, so...
Carrying solar depends on lifestyle. If camping trips are short, charge at home. If long or the potential to stay long gives peace of mind, prepare to charge wherever you are.
My trips into the wilderness would probably be fine without remote charging, but the same attraction to the engineering...
I’d like a couple of rigid solar panels about the size of the bed (4’x6’)that could attach to those mounting points on one end and poles to the ground on the other, creating an awning while camping. For a level awning, bolts or arms would need to bend from the slope of the roof to vertical. For...
