I would like to get the input of members. I would like to get a Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3 installed. My question is, do you think it is ok to get the Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3 now for the CyberTruck or is it better to wait closer to launch to see if a Tesla Wall Connector Gen 4 is released?
Wasn’t the semi supposed to be quad motor and they made it tri motor to get better mileage? Also the model S Plaid is tri motor. There are currently no quad motor Teslas and that makes it appear that CyberTruck will not have a quad motor option. Any opinions about this?
I was under the impression that you had to take physical delivery by the April grandfather clause deadline to be eligible for the Federal Tax Credit. That it has nothing to do with preordering but actual physical delivery.

So the CyberTruck is supposed to use mega chargers like the semi but the semi has a different connection. So how will the CyberTruck charge at mega chargers? An adapter?
I thought the point of the CyberTruck being affordable was due to a few factors:
No painting needed
4680 batteries
The design making the production cheaper
Based on this, the dual motor could be $60,000
Most likely the CT3 and CT4 will not be eligible for the $7,500 POS rebate due to their prices.
This could be a big enough incentive to push a lot of people to the CT2. Saving the price difference between the CT3 and CT2 plus the $7,500 POS rebate gives you a lot of money to use for addons

Seems like people are forgetting that the EV POS rebate looks to be happening. So get the Cybertruck model that is $80,000 or less and get $7,500 taken off at the point of sale. We did not have that option before so this will help a lot of people.
I know I will be using a Tesla Wall Connector for charging my Cybertruck. The only reason I have not installed one in my garage is I want to wait and see if a Gen 4 Wall Connector is released closer to Cybertruck production.
At this point I would really like for Tesla to trim the fat. Show us the final design and then ask for $2500 or $3000 to maintain your reservation. This would give a much better estimate of the actual pre-orders.
