My excitement for this hinges on the ease of installation. Totally cool if the Service Center wants to help for initial installation but, unlike the range extender, I will only want the tent in the bed when I'm actually planning on using it.
I wonder if I'd be excited or not with that car swap. I've been renting Model 3s for my last few trips and would not want to worry about charging with anything other than the supercharger network.
That'd be cool to rent at home for a few days for fun and charge at home.
Ha, yeah. I can't stand the folks who won't shut up about the specs not meeting their expectations but I don't think "disappointment" is cringe. That's the best way to describe my feelings about how Foundation Series is turning out. I'm not mad. I get it. I'm just disappointed. As someone who...
@Coltpete - not directed at you as I was talking generally as I've been seeing some fanboyish defense of FS all over Reddit, X, etc. Understanding Tesla's logic is one thing but cheering them on while they take advantage of the hype is kinda cringe to me.
I don't get the adamant defenders of FS. Are you speaking as a shareholder, fanboy, or what? It's not unreasonable for the earliest reservation holders to want to pay the asking price of the car and not have to wait an extra year to do so. The FS roadmap is purposefully unclear probably because...
I won’t accept Tesla’s dealer markup. I could almost get a Y with that extra $$. Sucks to be in my position needing a 2nd Tesla:
New Model 3 has a lot of new upgrades but not eligible for $7500 rebate.
Model Y is a great deal but may be updated shortly to get all the Highland enhancements...
You're setting the internet into a frenzy with that first pic which looks awful. I can't believe that's the same as this one which looks like nothing at all.
That's a lot of limited editions. I'm part of the first batch of FS invites so hopefully I can put in a standard AWD order in March and get it soon after ? but I think that's still wishful thinking
It's hilarious how people think they can design a car better than Tesla with off the whim, uneducated thoughts. These guys are the smartest, hardest working bunch. I trust the product that they put out is the best they can offer.
I don't even think OP's logic is anything but speculation that Tesla is going to keep allowing Foundation Series orders until they run through the 2 million+ reservations and people stop ordering.
I personally don't think this is the case and actually hope it's the opposite where we want...
