The non-FS won't have the FS badging and stated accessories but will otherwise be the exact same. It's really not that complicated lol. The FS order page clearly states what it includes.
Call me naive but I do think they always planned on offering standard pricing once production ramped and not to just milk FS to the ground. Otherwise, they'd just standard price it crazy high to account for the hype.
CT was definitely launched early to hit a timeline. Basic software updates...
Literally how I felt getting the first batch of FS invites in December only to come to terms with the fact that I couldn't swing the extra ~$30k markup. Half a year later and I'm a bit appreciative that I was forced to wait while they fine tune the production and software.
Still dying to get...
Steer by wire is the game changer that has helped me stay strong and not consider a half the price Y or a similarly priced X.
Back in the Steve Jobs Apple days, there were things about Apple products that you just had to experience to appreciate. Looking at pictures or at spec sheets didn't...
I don't think Tesla is going to milk us any further than the Foundation Series. They're knowledgable enough about production ramps to eventually be able to start selling cars at a set price/rate with the typical Tesla fluctuations.
After initially being shocked and peeved in early December to...
Biggest miss for me is the 6th seat. That just woulda been so sweet and convenient. They still went out and made CT better in many different ways.
I'm expecting my garage to be JUST big enough. I think the easier solution for us is some kind of auto-park that squeezes it in and out (summon?) of...
So fun to see the joy CT continues to bring to the community.
I spend too much time on Reddit seeing how much people dwell on obsessively hating CT/Tesla/Elon. Honestly just makes me feel bad for them not being able to obsessively love anything and experience this type of excitement.
It’s been a while and I could have misread it but I was turned off by her comments in Lex Fridman’s podcast where she was throwing a lot of shade at Tesla engineers.
Many YouTubers become fixated on proving that they're smarter than Tesla, whether that be from an engineering or product standpoint. Rich, JerryRigEverything, the girl who made the Model 3 wagon are examples. I quickly unsubscribe when their ego hits that point.
Tesla could have just priced the Cybertruck at $100k+ with no accessories and sold well if their only objective was to feed off of the hype.
I agree with those that think there's a threshold for the FS. That threshold represents when production has ramped successfully and they can start...
They’re sending FS invites to Day 3 reservers. If you’re one of the late FS invites, FS priority benefits you a bunch. If you wait for standard orders, you’re going to be way back in the queue.
I was in the first batch of FS invites so I get screwed the most by FS-only orders but will hopefully...
There should be special invites to order non-FS Cybertrucks. That'd be a real treat! Giving people the privilege to buy a marked up version is a little slimy.
To ensure we’re on the same page, the asking price I’m referring to is $80k/$100k which is the final confirmed price announced a few months ago. This is the price some people want to pay but can’t because of FS markup.
