Thanks for the info. Is this power module separate from the drive inverter on the driver’s side? In the notes for my repair the tech said they had to restart the system to get the LH cooling fan to start after replacing the inverter.
Yes, feels/sounds like you’ve hit a pothole. Seems like they’ve got an issue with inverters, which is what mine was diagnosed as. Repair took a week for me, mostly because our service center here was slammed and I didn’t have an appointment. Hope you get resolution soon!
Glad to hear its a simple fix and they got you going so quickly!
Our service center is slammed and they still haven’t looked at mine yet, 48 hours later. Hopefully today is the day and the parts are easy to get.
I get the middle finger almost daily here in Idaho. Jacked up truck drivers seem to keep their hands in their pockets, it's mostly young guys in sedans or Tacomas. I'll be happy to entertain their criticisms when they are driving vehicles that don't produce 1-2 pounds of CO2 per mile driven...
Well, it was still drivable, but at a lower power output (felt about like an ICE truck). Or, you could just call roadside assistance if you aren't comfortable driving it.
Here in Idaho, most of the truck guys who don't like it don't engage directly. But for some reason the mid 20s guys driving used sedans love to express their displeasure with thumbs down or the middle finger. I don't really care, but I often have my 8yo daughter in the care and she's started...
This is a good point. The benefit of the powershare hardware is that the switch happens automatically. The condition of: "my truck is plugged in and the power went out, now power the house" would require the manual intervention of unplug truck from charger (if plugged in since the CT won't...
I hope this interpretation is true. There's another thread on this forum that just started with conflicting info on this. It seems like the 3V gateway becomes superfluous with the addition of Powerwall which is consistent with what an installer told me.
I don't believe this is true in the case of the Beast vs the AWD. Assuming for this conversation that purpose of a locker is to make sure all power is available to either tire on a given axel, each rear beast motor is roughly the equivalent of the single motor in the AWD, so I doubt very much...
SO, I asked about Powerwall/Powershare compatibility and was told that the Powershare hardware that comes with the Foundation Series is *NOT* Powerwall compatible. If you you currently have Powerwall hardware, powershare will work over this system and no upgrades are required. But, the...
You could simply use something like an Anker Solix 2000 in the back. It can be plugged into the AC plugs and run as a pass through or power backup when the AC ports are down. This has all manner of AC/DC outputs onboard.
