It can sometimes take more than a day at off peak rates to charge this truck at level 2. Tesla needs to enable the truck to automatically stop charging and then restart the next day when off peak rates return.

I honestly would not do that. I would just get a second drive and a USB hub. Sentry mode will kill your USB drive eventually and it will take your media down with it, if everything lives on one stick.
