I'm an Alta owner too! Best dirt bike I've ever owned #magiccarpetride
Shout-out to the Alta Owners Forum for keeping us going!
Can't wait to charge it at the trailhead with my CyberTruck!!!
gimmick full-send imo. @Ogre and @electricAK said if well.
Additionally, to initiate a tank turn you have to ramp up with A LOT of energy in wheel spin (a mostly out-of-control experience). Then with your spinning sensors out of whack and truck inertia engaged, it would be difficult to stop on...
I'm guessing Tesla will get the steel roll from SpaceX, quick automated visual check before cutting out the pieces, shape it, weld it up, do a chem dip (or not) and that's it. #bestprocessisnoprocess
Probably some language in purchase agreement regarding no warranty about surface finish...
this is a badass pic
i too am a fan of the aliner style hard sides. I'll give another plug to hiatus campers. they are the only hardsided popup campers I've seen yet. look like a creative, hardworking young couple living the dream.
I'll probably go to them for my needs as they seem...
:alien: One more step on the road to solving real world vision! :alien:
How do you get on the list? When do you get kicked off the list?

Oh my, I love that picture of the CT bed, mud on the tires, Elon in the background!
I hate when the "media" including YouTube dopes say the hummer and lightning are real but the CT is just a concept
I like this thread :)
Been dreaming about all the Robotaxi fun and benefits.
Real question to the group: how to reconcile with Robotaxi decimating all the gig jobs. I know they will all be gone soon, but we're on the front lines, financing the robots, sending them out to make those less...
Airplanes aren't made of 3mm hardened stainless :)
Regarding safety, don't forget AEB/FSD should reduce chances of accidents by 10x... 100x... Eventually 1000x.
It's the other schmucks we'll have to watch out for. It will all be on video and their insurance rates will be sky-high!
One final...
There's a smattering of torsen diffs out there that put a smackdown in 4x4 performance. Hoping for some elon news that they'll be using torsen, but #bestpartisnopart and the minimal times one need true limited slip, a high speed algorithm brake check should do the trick.
Shout-out to design...
As was calculated in previous threads, how the #@$@ are they gonna squeeze 350kW of charge (~875 amps at 400 VDC) through:
- that charging cable
- the charge port
- the battery management system
- the batteries
875A doesn't even show up on my basic NEC quick-chart! Is the NEC not relevant...
Clearly then have to change something dramatically with voltage... right? Water jacketed charge lines? What kind of black magic are they dealing with? This deserves it's own thread :)
